Story
Maya is a 4-year-old Siberian Husky. She is sweet, independent, suuuper chill (especially for a husky), very cat-like and non-destructive. She is VERY lazy, but she still loves fetch. She loves sunbathing and will lay out in the sun for hours. She takes a while to warm up to new people, but once she warms to you, you will be her human. She cannot do doggie day-care. It is too over-stimulating for her. Rover with a consistent human sitter would work perfectly for her. Maya grew up with her human sister, who was born around the time Maya was adopted. They get along great, so Maya is very good with little kids. I adopted Maya because I wanted to help and because I wanted to provide my dog with a friend. Unfortunately, after extensive training, Maya still does not get along with my other dog. Maya has quite an alpha personality, so she should be the only pet in the home. She has high prey drive and will kill any pet rabbits or other small animals. She also does not enjoy dog parks.

Story
ADOPTION FEE: $450 Meet Juneau! This lovely lady was originally adopted from us in 2021 and has been returned due to her previous human moving. Juneau is an absolute sweetheart who has been through far too many homes. She needs a person who is dedicated to her for the rest of her life. Juneau is smart, attentive, and loving. She knows how to sit, shake, and speak. She walks well on a leash, but in true Husky fashion, is known to be a bit of an escape artist. Juneau is a little protective of her food bowl, but has never snapped or bit at anyone. She is friendly to all people and dogs and has done well in dog daycare. She enjoys being active and would love a family that will show her all the joys of the Colorado camping and hiking lifestyle. From her amazing foster: (12/6) "Juneau is the sweetest dog ever! She loves to cuddle and take naps but she also loves to go on lots of walks! She’s really good on the leash and a very friendly dog! She’s the sweetest girl ever to everyone she meets. She knows how to do lots of tricks and is very well potty trained! It’s been such an amazing time fostering her, she’s an amazing dog and anyone would be so lucky to have her❤️" We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Sienna, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Sienna – A Sweet, Loving Pup Ready for Her Forever Family! Sienna is an adorable 4 and a half month old Husky / Lab mix. At just 16 lbs, she’s expected to grow to around 48 lbs as an adult. From Sienna's foster: "Sienna is SUCH a good puppy!! She is SO smart, and already basically potty trained! She is super friendly and wiggly and loves everyone / everything. She loves people, kids, and other dogs. Her recall is amazing -- she is incredibly smart and such a fast learner and a good listener. She learned "sit" super fast, and she sits for her meals and waits for "eat" (her release word). She also rides great in the car. Now that she is fully vaccinated, we have been bringing her out everywhere for socializing and she's a social champ!" Sienna is a sweet, playful, and affectionate pup who loves people and other dogs. She’s curious, smart, and ready to learn as she grows into a loyal and loving companion. Whether it's playing with her foster brother or cuddling up for a nap, Sienna is sure to steal your heart. Found as a stray in Texas at just 7 weeks old, Sienna had a rough start to life. She was found with 2 other litter mates who have since been adopted, leaving Sienna the last one waiting for her happy ever after. The sisters were covered in fleas and in desperate need of care. They were picked up and brought into a horrible shelter in Houston, where due to overcrowding, they were placed on the euthanasia list. But thanks to the incredible efforts of rescuers, Sienna was rescued from the shelter, transported to Colorado, and is now happy, healthy, and thriving in her foster home. Sienna is waiting find her forever family. She’s looking for a home that will offer love, care, and plenty of playtime. Whether you're an active family or an individual who’s ready to give Sienna the attention she deserves, she’s sure to be the perfect addition to your life. Since Sienna is still a puppy, she’s a blank slate – ready and eager to learn! She’ll thrive in a home where she can receive the time, love, and training necessary to help her become the well-behaved, confident adult dog she's destined to be. With the right guidance, including puppy kindergarten and positive reinforcement training, Sienna will blossom into an amazing companion who will form deep bonds with her family. Every puppy needs a family who can invest in training and socialization as the puppies grows. Sienna will need positive, force-free obedience classes (virtual or in-person) to set her up for success and to ensure she’s a happy, well-behaved pup that can go on adventures and be a joy to have by your side. This kind of commitment pays off tenfold when you have a dog who is not only well-behaved but also an absolute joy to be around. Training is an adoption requirement of ours, and we are not open to adopting to a home who doesn't have desire to train a new puppy. Sienna will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. However, she's too young for us to get her spayed yet, but spay is required to be done before she turns 1 year old (7-8 months of age is recommended) and spay is required to finalize any adoption. Farfel's Rescue covers the full cost of her spay if our rescue vet is used. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet dog! An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE**. If you're truly interested in adopting Alfie please be sure to submit the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com. Rescue site applications such as Petfinder or Adoptapet don't provide enough information for us to determine a great match for this very deserving dog and therefore aren't useful. We're sorry, but in many circumstances, we're unable to get back to those those that don't submit a Farfel's adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue!
