Story
Nieko is the rare find - a husky that can be secured! This sweet boy is crate trained and will not try to escape or destroy his crate! He chills very well while his foster mom is at work, and goes straight into his crate with no issues when cued. Nieko already knows sit and lay down. He is working on the "quiet" cue because he certainly likes to talk (in true husky fashion). Check out Nieko's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwnPFLTh_TcjDLWhtFmpZgN3 Nieko is a sweetheart who is gentle when taking food and treats from your hand. He loves to have his belly rubbed by those he trusts. He also loves to run and play tag! His foster will slowly creep towards him and he gets so excited to play along in the game. Nieko is very treat motivated and very smart. He knows to sit before he leaves the crate and before he goes out the door to go outside. Nieko rarely barks outside, except to let his foster mom know that he is ready to go back inside. When inside, as stated he can be pretty talkative with everyone passing by. Nieko is a very attentive and sweet boy, but he will make you earn that trust and affection. He is an excellent walker on leash and is very sensitive to even the slight pressure by responding right away to follow you. Nieko currently lives with other dogs, and does well with them with slow introductions. Nieko is not currently recommended to live with cats. He is moderate energy and may be fine with older children. It is recommended to bring your children to meet him if you are interested in adoption. Nieko is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Nieko to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
Akio is the ultimate velcro husky and has the fur to match. He will cling to you and be there to observe what you are doing every minute of the day. This boy does not mind sharing his bed with his humans and favorite children. He is an incredible cuddler and lives for affection. One of his favorite activities is getting all over belly rubs. Check out Akio's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6Cwm_WmZYio3lFz7fX0tN3l__ Akio loves to play, whether it is chasing his ball around the yard or playing tug of rope with you. He gets morning zoomies where he loves to run around the house, up the stairs and then back again. He will fill your mornings with fun and play, starting off your day on the right foot. Akio is moderate energy, which is nice in a husky. He enjoys short walks, couch time, brushing, fetch and tug of war. His favorite toys are rope toys and balls! Akio currently lives with children and does great with them. He is a very affectionate boy. We believe Akio would also be fine with other dogs with slow introductions. He is polite and respectful when he sees them out and about at the vet office or groomers. We are not sure how Akio would do with cats as he does not currently live with any. Akio is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Akio to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
Koda is a debonair gentleman looking for an experienced home to make his own. Koda is a moderate energy husky mix who happens to resemble a fox. Koda loves to play and will do little zoomies when he is comfortable. Koda is still learning to trust new people and to be comfortable in new places, so would do best in a patient home. He is kennel trained and is working on his walking skills. Koda would love to be part of a family and would likely be fine with other dogs with slow introductions. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. Koda is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Story
This gorgeous pup was one of 9 babies born here on 3/18/23 to sweet momma dog Elsa who came in to us from Animal Services. We know Elsa is a Husky, but we don't know what type of dog the dad was. Based on her look, we believe Shepherd. She is the last one of the litter that did not get adopted, which is unbelievable! She is the most gentle, well-mannered Husky mix to ever exist. She has fun playing in the yard with other dogs and gets along with everyone. She is a huge favorite among the staff here, but she needs a home! She has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Miss River has recently been diagnosed with hip dysplasia so we are in consultation with a surgeon who can fix her hips and she should be as good as new since she is so young. Ideally we hope she can be adopted and be able to recover in her new home. $250.00 adoption. Story
This beautiful Husky is 3 years old and weighs 43 pounds. She was originally adopted as a puppy from our shelter, but the owner was having to move into an apartment where no dogs her size were allowed. Kaia is a good girl who has been living in a home with a family with children. She is house trained, current on shots, microchipped and spayed. She has a good amount of energy, but is past all the puppy stuff. She enjoys going on walks, playing ball and knows some commands. She knows sit, down, roll over, spin and paw. Kaia has been an indoor and outdoor dog and is very friendly when meeting new people. She loves playing in water and plays well with other dogs. She will make a fun companion. $250.00 adoption. Story
This little girl is named Wendy and is part of a litter of 3. We were told they were Husky/Malinois with a bit of Pomeranian, so they are an active breed mix. They were born around 7/15/2024. These pups would love to have a home before the holidays so they can grow up with their new family. They are playful and, at this age, they are young enough to learn to get along with other animals in the home. Training is much easier started early. They will be spayed/neutered on 11/19 and can go home the day after. They have received their first puppy shots and are now microchipped. $350 adoption fee. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Ace was born here at the shelter on 3/18/2023 to a large litter. Sadly, he ended up back at the shelter and his owner failed to respond to our outreach. We do not know what his circumstances were with his prior owner, but he is extremely friendly and an active young dog. He will hang out with us until we can find him a new place to live. He is already neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, so he has no need to stay here long. He weighs 69 pounds and has a great personality. $300.00 adoption for this handsome beast! Story
This pup is nothing short of amazing and has the best parts of a shepherd and an Akita. He wants to be part of the family and he will protect them until the bitter end. Kai wants a family so bad and has a strong love for the people who take care of him. Once he has settled in, Kai's happiness fills the home with joy. When you come home from a long day at work, Kai is there to greet you and wants nothing more than to listen and smell all about your day. This young loving amazing Shepherd gives unconditional love, and only wants to please you and take every command. He can be a little timid, but once he learns your love, he is extremely obedient and loving. Once you earn his love, that’s all you’re gonna get from him. He is a good boy who has been through some tough times who just wants a family all to his own. Kai currently lives with other dogs and does well with most of them. There are more assertive dogs that Kai is not a fan of. Kai is not recommended to live with cats due to prey drive. Kai has met children and done well with them with proper introductions, but would likely do best with older children only given his timid nature when first meeting new people. Kai would do best in a home that is experienced with Akitas, Shepherds, or a similar breed. Kai is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Kai to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.
