Hi, I’m Lana, I’m a petite 1 year old Husky. I love kids a ton, love to run and play and hike, I’m good with puppies and friendly dogs, I’m house broken, and crate trained. I’ve even been fostered with other dogs, both male and a non alpha female, and I’ve done very well. Please think of adopting me for the holidays - I’ve been in the rescue system since I was a baby and no one has ever tried to adopt me and I don’t know why. I’ll love you forever, I promise! I’m spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccines Lana is just a $50 adoption fee if adopting her before the end of this year!

Story
We found Denali at an LA County Animal Shelter in April 2024 when she was 9 months old. She is now 2 years and 4 months, so I have had her over a year and a half. She is a very sweet and loving dog, loves attention, and is great with kids. She loves to eat, wrestle, play chase, play fetch, go for walks, and sleep! She still gets the puppy zoomies too! She is housetrained, though she stays outside when I leave for more than a half hour. We love to take her to the beach and the mountains. She has a blast playing in the snow. She is terrific on walks but gets very excited when a City bus passes us. Unfortunately I have ended up travelling too much for work and the boarding costs are more than I can afford. Additionally, my yard is small and she needs and deserves a larger play space. With that said, we are looking for a home with a larger play area and where she can get more attention. She is hit and miss getting along with other dogs.

SKY is a wonderful super smart girl! She is about 2 year old and sweet as can be. She loves dogs and people. Sky loves to fetch the ball and bring it back and she sits on command too. She is quiet and mellow. She's great with other little puppies too. She is used to being in the house it seems so indoor / outdoor girl she is. She would be a great family pet or personal companion. Her markings are beautiful and her fur is soft and flowing... she is very gentle.  SKY IS OUR TOP DOG OF THE MONTH!! Katya loves life, loves to play fetch, to go on hikes and runs, and is just a wonderful companion. She’s best with older kids and large dogs. She has prey drive with small animals/cats. Awwooooo!!! Adopt me!   LAKOTA is an affectionate, gentle, playful (and at first - a little bit shy). but is now available for adoption to the public!!   Background: Lakota was picked up as a stray on 7/27 and brought to a shelter. He was thin and leggy, and originally thought to be a wolf hybrid (and therefore rescue only to wolf-sanctuaries). He stole our heart and we advocated for him by presenting info to the staff which gave them the resources to properly phenotype him. We also presented his photos & videos to other rescue groups that specialize in Northern breeds who also weighed in. Our favorite, wolf-sanctuary-sister-rescue and friend, Dr. Lorin Linder, Ph.D., MPH. of Lockwood Animal Rescue Center also reviewed the photos/videos and provided her expert opinion to the shelter. He's now been properly labeled as an Alaskan Malamute mix and because of his lovely, friendly temperament, can become the forever companion to a very lucky person or family.   Despite all of Lakota's people-friendly qualities, Lakota is reactive to other dogs so only adopters with experience with strong, Northern breed dogs will be considered, and he will not be placed in a home with other dogs or pets.
