I`m here to steal your heart with my fluffy fur and irresistible charm. I may have started my journey as an owner surrender, but that doesn`t define me. I`m ready to turn over a new leaf and find a forever family who will cherish me for the sweet and playful pup that I am.

Story
Hi there! My name is Bunny and I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus. I'm a 2 year old, female, Husky who came to SB Humane looking for a new best friend. I am a very sweet girl that jumps like a bunny when I am excited to see you. I also have a cute "trick" where I put a toy in my mouth and show off some of my vocal skills. My friends keep saying it is like a whisper, but they get so happy when I do it I keep doing it when they approach me. I would love a home where I will be active and get into a Basic Manners class so I can work my brain and be able to relax during the times I may be left home alone. If you are looking for an active dog that will also snuggle up with you and be your best friend, come meet me. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!

Siren is a very special girl who is looking for the right home. She came to us as a stray and has high anxiety. Her name is quite fitting, as she has a loud scream/howl when she is left alone. Siren will need to go to a home with someone who is familiar with the husky breed, very active, and does not have children. She has gotten destructive when left alone and is touch sensitive. Siren has been in playgroups with other dogs and does not seem to mind them. Still interested? Call our shelter to set up a meet.

Story
LOVE MUSIC? WE'RE BASS & TENOR! We are a happy and fun pair of playful dogs who need a foster or forever home! We are very affectionate toward people, and we love, love, love each other. We're probably brothers, who found themselves at a crowded California shelter with no adoption interest. Fortunately we were rescued but we haven't found a home yet because we're a dynamic duo who must stay together. We are each about 6-1/2 years old. Me (Bass), the brown-and-white boy, weighs only 55 lbs., and Tenor (tan and white) weighs about 60. We are fun, active pups who love to run, play and snuggle. We would love to be adopted by someone who take us on hikes and other outings. Currently we play with each other for entertainment but it'd be great to branch out and see the world! They would do best with an active person, couple or family with older kids. We love to jump up and give kisses. We are not super friendly with other dogs, so should be the only dogs in the home - but we have plenty of love to give! If you can foster or adopt Bass & Tenor, please email for an application.
