Story
Dino is a lovely energetic male, Husky-German shepherd mix who loves to run, play, go on walks, and be around human company. Dino would probably do best for a one-dog household, but he may be good with another dog after a careful introduction and with an experienced family. He is super trainable, and he craves human company and instruction. Dino's an amazing dog. Give him a chance, he deserves it.

Story
Lulu is a very smart girl with a lot of professional training. Lulu loves to hike/walk and swim. She gets along with dogs male or female - would be a great family dog. Lulu came to the Milo Foundation Sanctuary only because her family had received bad new with some medical issues and could no longer care for her. Lulu was very well cared for and loved by her previous family. We are looking for a family to adopt or foster Lulu. .. it's impressive the training Lulu has had with Skully Dogs Training. Lulu has two certificates of achievement for core commands. If you would like more information on Lulu please call 707-459-4900. Lulu is such a sweet girl and she listens very well- this girl deserves a happy healthy home again and we plan to help her find it!

Friendly, fun Viggo loves hanging out with his buddy, Alma. And, unlike most huskies, he loves the water! He is always up for fun, but he is not overbearing at all. He loves Alma! Viggo should go to a home with another husky pal, as he loves to play with other dogs. Please call 707-459-4900 to set up an appointment to meet these beautiful huskies. Come meet Viggo (and Alma) at our sanctuary.

Story
One of a pair of hybrid type fellows who arrived via a small rescue in the Sacramento area. Cysco is smaller and likely perhaps to be part Coyote. These are truly delightful creatures, playful and silly, who just love romping and playing in the wooded hills at our Sanctuary! They have two delightful girlfriends in their pack and the foursome immediately took to each other like long lost friends (or family members!) Cysco is not a dog who chooses human company, though he is sweet, sensitive, curious and does engage, but chooses dogs over humans. We respect that choice and give him and the others the time and a big space to call home - eventually in the right circumstances with the right kinds of people and other dog(s) we can consider placing them, or they'll stay here and have their friends and good food and a happy life! Thank you for considering adoption of a Milo Foundation Sanctuary dog. Our Sanctuary is where our rescued dogs who have had difficulty in a home in the past, have behavioural issues, or too much energy, or for some, aggression issues with other dogs, or intense stranger danger that make them more difficult to safely and happily live in urban environments. These are not beginner dogs or for the most part nor are they for families with children. IF you are looking for an easy dog to add to your family, we suggest looking at the dogs at our Adoption Center, Milo Pt Richmond. BUT, if you can offer a safe and nurturing home to a dog with some behavioural "quirks" please do send an application today. Thank you.

Story
Amara is a gorgeous young adult Husky mix. Despite that Husky in her, she's fairly mellow and would love to go to a home where she has another dog friend to spend time with. She'll happily be a couch potato with you while you're inside, but just because she's mellow doesn't mean she doesn't love her outside time. If you're out for a walk or a hike, Amara would love to come with you and explore the world. Early on she'll need some house training, but if you're willing to put that effort in, she's ready to be a loving and loyal family member!

Story
We found this dog on our street during a very rainy day. All the neighbors came together and managed to rescue him. He weighs 61 pounds but is incredibly sweet and gentle. Well-mannered and quiet, he rarely barks and seems genuinely grateful to have been taken in. He’s careful and considerate, whether interacting with objects (he doesn’t dig or jump on fences) or with animals and people. He’s an incredibly handsome dog with striking heterochromia—one eye is a vivid blue, while the other is a warm yellow. Truly a stunning and unique companion. Unfortunately, because we have elderly small dogs, we’re unable to keep him. We’re seeking a loving home for this gentle giant—someone who can truly provide the care and affection he deserves. He’s a wonderful dog with a kind heart, and he’s ready to bring joy to a family who will give him the great life he’s worthy of.
