Asher is a delightful, affectionate 1-year old husky mix with a heart full of love and a spirit ready for exploration! This handsome 49-pound pup, affectionately known as Prince Asher, is not just a pretty face—he's a big goofball with a personality that will light up your life. Cuddle Bug: He adores neck rubs and cuddles, and while he may jump with joy when overwhelmed, his affectionate nature makes it all worthwhile. Sneaky kisses are a common occurrence with this playful pup! He truly lives for playtime and cuddles. House Training: Asher has never had an accident indoors and can be left alone for up to 8-9 hours without issues—he’s a relaxed couch potato while you’re away! Social Butterfly: He thrives in social settings and has a blast in doggie playgroups. He does well with other dogs including the resident pup in his foster home. and would be happy as a solo pet or with a playful companion. Curious Explorer: Asher loves to observe the world around him, happily lounging next to you as you both soak in the sights and sounds. Leash Skills: Asher walks well on a leash and comes when called, though he can get a little excited, especially when meeting new people or seeing other dogs. His enthusiasm is contagious! He’s a quick learner and sometimes just needs a little guidance to channel that energy. If you're ready to add a bundle of joy and adventure to your life, Asher is waiting to meet you! I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereIntroducing Juneau, a classic husky beauty! Although she came to the shelter undersocialized, Juneau has made great progress in foster. She is sometimes cautious with strangers, but will shower those she trusts with all the love. In a quiet home, Juneau will continue to thrive. She is potty trained (yard only), has great house manners, and can be left home alone. Walking outside on leash is a relatively new hobby, and she's currently working on not getting over excited when she sees other dogs. She has strong prey drive, which would make co-habitating with cats unlikely. Juneau would enjoy being your one and only companion, but could also do well with another tolerant dog -- she has been playful with puppies in foster, and snuggles with calm adult dogs. She has also spent time with respectful kids, who report she is softer than a fleece blanket! Juneau is 3 years old and 52 lbs. Follow her in foster with @adopt.this.dog.eastbay on Instagram! Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereMeet adoptable Mylie! Mylie was found as a stray in Oakland, and has been living in foster with the good samaritans that originally found her. Mylie has shown herself to be extremely sweet, intelligent, trainable, and tolerant. With her foster family, she has done well in crowds, car rides, and with other dogs, people, and kids.   Mylie has picked up several commands, is a great leash walker, and has been respectful of home rules regarding furniture. However, as a high-energy pup, she'll need regular enrichment and exercise to keep any potential mischievous behaviors at bay (and lots of things to chew on will help)! She will also benefit from ongoing rewards-based training as she grows into the best pup she can be. Looking for a running buddy? Mylie's fosters say she's born to run, and absolutely delights in it. They've even had her on leash while riding a bike! And she looks good doing it - people are constantly commenting how gorgeous she is, and she handles the pets and attention she gets from admirers well. If you're looking for a smart, active adventure buddy, Mylie just might be the dog for you!
