Story
Bruno is a beautiful, 2-year-old brown and white Husky. His previous owner was told she couldn’t have animals in her condo, and so she pretty much wanted to just dump him somewhere. The good folks at the El Toro Animal Hospital in Lake Forest stepped in and now he is ready to find his true and deserving forever home. Here are some notes on Bruno by one of his daily walkers: “ Bruno is a very gentle dude, and walks nicely on a leash. He knows sit and stay (when waiting to cross the road). He’s not reactive to dogs or people and is not spooked easily on the street by loud noises. He is curious when on a walk and likes to sniff a lot (and chase the occasional lizard). I did try to run with him and he does seem to like that as well. He does seem to have the high energy you come to expect from this breed.”  Bruno is neutered, microchipped, up to date with all vaccinations, and had his wellness and fecal tests done. So, if you are looking for an awesome dog for your family, why not give this distinguished gentleman a chance and make a difference in his life.   If adoption isn't feasible, please consider fostering one of our pups. We are a volunteer-run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome new short or long-term doggie foster families. Doggie Bonez will provide you with everything you need, including dog food, a bed, toys, medical attention (if required), and more. So, if you're interested, please visit www.doggiebonez.com to see all of our available dogs who need a foster family while waiting for their forever home and complete the foster application.November 7, 2024, 2:26 pm

Story
Acquired him as a pup from a friend who couldn’t care for him so I took him in. He is 5 years old. We aren’t allowed to him in home & we have two newborns in the family that require more space. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to care for him. He is harmless with kids and adults. Wasn’t trained in house. He loves to roam free & needs to expel his energy because he is energetic. Is good around other dogs big or small. Not neutered. I need to find a home for him in less than a week.

Story
Meet TIBU 4 yrs 55 lbs Tibu, a beautiful blue-eyed Husky who has endured a tough past but is now ready to find his forever home. Tibu was rescued from a family that kept him outside tied on a short leash, beaten and refused basic needs like food and water, Tibu was very afraid when finally rescued. Despite the neglect he faced, Tibu's spirit remains unbroken, and he is one of the sweetest and friendliest dogs you will ever meet thanks to the hard work and dedication of our two volunteers, Francisco and Yuri. Tibu loves everyone he meets and has a special way of making you feel loved with his gentle nature. He enjoys being vocal, but his cute howls are more endearing than loud and repetitive. One of his favorite things to do is snuggle up and give kisses, showing just how affectionate and grateful he is for any attention and love. On a leash, Tibu is pretty easygoing and prefers a leisurely pace over running. He's not particularly into toys but finds joy in simple pleasures like walks and cuddles. When greeting new friends, he might jump a little out of excitement, but his enthusiasm is always sweet and never overwhelming. Tibu is looking for a loving home where he can be cherished and cared for. If you're ready to open your heart to a dog who has so much love to give, Tibu is waiting to meet you.

Story
***Courtesy Posting*** Hi! I'm Horchata! Just like my name, I am made of sugar and spice and everything nice! My favorite things are playing with my toys, running around and being loved on by humans. Not to toot my own horn, but I have been told I am a very smart boy. Since I am so smart, I usually like to be in charge, so AWFA thinks it will be best if my forever family knows how to be an alpha. I have received some basic training and I am very quick to learn new things. If you are looking for a loving and loyal boy, we will make a great team! *My special need is that I have knocked knees on my back legs.  It does not inhibit me from running around at all my legs just don't look perfect like the rest of me ;). I was born this way and I get along just fine.Interested in adopting this pet? Please contact us at questions@awishforanimals.org for more info.November 6, 2024, 5:40 am

Story
Meet Duchess! She’s a very sweet, playful and spunky Husky Shepherd mix around 1.5 years old. She’s crate trained, potty trained, leash trained and knows sit (still working on lay down). She’s food motived to learn new things. She loves cuddling, with both humans and dogs! Ava is also very vocal and likes to tell you when it’s time to play, when she needs attention or when it’s time to go potty! She loves playing with toys and with her foster fur siblings. She’s very curious and likes to see what’s going on when she hears something or to see where you’re going. She loves snuggling up in dog beds and blankets! Ava would love a home with a yard and a fur sibling to play with. She can’t wait to find her forever home!  Interested in adopting this pet? Story
Oso is extremely smart and loving.  He's very food motivated and if you give him a treat he will be your best friend!  He loves people and does really well with meeting new people.  A perfect day for him would involve yummy treats and a good belly rub.  Even though he's had terrible owners previously and was a victim of abuse and neglect, he still got a lot of love for people and is ready to be part of your family!Interested in adopting this pet?
