Story
Oso is an 8-year-old Husky with a heart as big as his fluffy coat. Originally adopted from us in 2018, he’s found his way back due to housing challenges and is now looking for a calm, loving home to enjoy his golden years. He’s a gentle and quirky guy who might do well with the right dog friend but prefers a cat-free and small-animal-free zone. Oso’s dream is a low-key life with someone who appreciates his charming personality. Could that someone be you?January 11, 2025, 1:36 pm

Hello Harley, the 73lb Husky with her stunning blue eyes! She's got that "I'm majestic, but also kinda goofy" vibe down. At 7 years old, she might be a bit of a seasoned lady, but don't let that fool you-Harley's still got play bows in her arsenal that would put a kangaroo to shame. She'll have you rolling on the floor laughing as she invites you into her silly games, and her husky charm will have you wrapped around her paw in no time. Call 707-542-0882 to meet Harley. Story
Meet Thunder, an 8-year-old large husky with a soft coat and a kind spirit. Thunder likes to receive pets while laying on his bed, but as a husky, he thrives with regular exercise to keep him happy and healthy. He may do well in a home with another dog who enjoys big-dog playtime, though his adopter should understand that Thunder needs breaks and some quiet time, as he can get overly excited during play. He is great at walking with other dogs on leash, but needs a sturdy handler when walking as he is a slight puller. If you're looking for a loyal and fun-loving companion who brings a mix of energy and calm, Thunder might just be the perfect addition to your family! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Zephyr is an approximate 5 year old Husky/Lab(?) mix. She is super smart, playful, funny, and obedient. Zephyr was a transfer from SFSPCA where she wasn't getting much interest. She had come to them as a mom with pups and was in foster care until her pups were ready for adoption. At that time, Zephyr was shutdown and unsure. The SFSPCA team did a fabulous job of getting her accustomed to the leash and helping her learn to trust. Since her arrival at Azaya, she has blossomed into a silly girl with TONS of personality. She loves to play with other dogs, is a pleasure to walk on the leash, and will talk back to you (as Huskies are prone to do). She has participated in several rounds of our obedience program and is now used as our demo dog. This dog has made a huge turnaround and we don't think she's finished surprising us yet. Please inquire about how Zephyr can add some quick wit and never ending curiosity to your life All of our animals are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide: veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, one month’s worth of flea medication and heartworm medication, one week’s worth of food, a leash, a collar, an ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also provide lifetime basic positive training support. If you would like to meet any of our animals, please complete our adoption application at www.azayaranchsanctuary.org or email info@azayaranchsanctuary.org. Story
Cooper is a 2 1/2 year old boy lab/shepard/husky mix. He is a very sweet and affectionate dog. His birthday is Cinco de Mayo! May 5th 2022. He is great around children. He loves getting lots of love and snuggles. He needs an active lifestyle and loves running after balls. He is extremely social in dog parks and often goes to K9 Activity Club to play with his friends at daycare and sometimes boarding. He is fine around small dogs, although he doesn’t seem to know his size so plays a little too rough with them. Not recommended to be placed in a home with a small dog. He can sit, lie down, stay, shake, hug and high five. His leash walking could use some work. He runs/jogs well on a leash and will walk okay, but still tugs a bit. He is up to date on all vaccines. We recently had a baby, and now with three children in the house, cannot give Cooper the love, affection and activity he deserves. We have a large crate, dog bed, harness, leash, collar, Apple ID tracker, food + water bowl all

Story
Meet Sadie, a seasoned lady with a heart full of love! This friendly girl is outgoing and always ready to make new friends! She’s not shy about seeking attention. Sadie would love to go on walks with you and improve her leash skills, as she pulls a bit. She was a polite, relaxed, and a little aloof when meeting a large female dog. She can have slight resource guarding with food, so would benefit from training. She appears to have some basic obedience and may be housetrained. Sadie’s looking for a forever home with kids 15 and up, where she can share her warmth and affection. Come visit Sadie where she’ll be eager to meet you with a smile!
