Story
Lulu is a very smart girl with a lot of professional training. Lulu loves to hike/walk and swim. She gets along with dogs male or female - would be a great family dog. Lulu came to the Milo Foundation Sanctuary only because her family had received bad new with some medical issues and could no longer care for her. Lulu was very well cared for and loved by her previous family. We are looking for a family to adopt or foster Lulu. .. it's impressive the training Lulu has had with Skully Dogs Training. Lulu has two certificates of achievement for core commands. If you would like more information on Lulu please call 707-459-4900. Lulu is such a sweet girl and she listens very well- this girl deserves a happy healthy home again and we plan to help her find it!

Friendly, fun Viggo loves hanging out with his buddy, Alma. And, unlike most huskies, he loves the water! He is always up for fun, but he is not overbearing at all. He loves Alma! Viggo should go to a home with another husky pal, as he loves to play with other dogs. Please call 707-459-4900 to set up an appointment to meet these beautiful huskies. Come meet Viggo (and Alma) at our sanctuary.

Story
One of a pair of hybrid type fellows who arrived via a small rescue in the Sacramento area. Cysco is smaller and likely perhaps to be part Coyote. These are truly delightful creatures, playful and silly, who just love romping and playing in the wooded hills at our Sanctuary! They have two delightful girlfriends in their pack and the foursome immediately took to each other like long lost friends (or family members!) Cysco is not a dog who chooses human company, though he is sweet, sensitive, curious and does engage, but chooses dogs over humans. We respect that choice and give him and the others the time and a big space to call home - eventually in the right circumstances with the right kinds of people and other dog(s) we can consider placing them, or they'll stay here and have their friends and good food and a happy life! Thank you for considering adoption of a Milo Foundation Sanctuary dog. Our Sanctuary is where our rescued dogs who have had difficulty in a home in the past, have behavioural issues, or too much energy, or for some, aggression issues with other dogs, or intense stranger danger that make them more difficult to safely and happily live in urban environments. These are not beginner dogs or for the most part nor are they for families with children. IF you are looking for an easy dog to add to your family, we suggest looking at the dogs at our Adoption Center, Milo Pt Richmond. BUT, if you can offer a safe and nurturing home to a dog with some behavioural "quirks" please do send an application today. Thank you.

Story
Paulo is a smart boy! He will pay attention to you and what your doing or asking of him to do. He has a fun personality and is very people and mostly quite dog friendly. Although friendly he does have some significant quirks. Paulo has major resource guarding issues and will bite if you try to take a toy or food from him. He does not like to be brushed ("you are stealing my fur!") He wants to be loved, but needs an experienced adult, who will respect his boundaries. It is best if Paulo remains an outdoor dog, happily living with others - because he will take things that belong to others, and you can NOT take them away! This is why Paulo lives at our Sanctuary - he is easily managed, knowing what his triggers are! But he is only suitable for an adult only, predictable home. If you are up for a rewarding, but slightly challenging relationship, Paulo may be your guy!

Story
Fun, handsome, active husky boy looking for his forever home! Timber loves being around people and other dogs! He is at our Sanctuary and living with new best buddy, pack members Alma and Viggo and they all hit it off great! It's all good fun with Timber! What a jovial, happy boy he is, tail always up, curled and wagging! Playing chase and having a blast. This boy will make a great addition for a family with a good yard and another dog pal, male or female he loves them all! Please call 707-459-4900 if you would like to meet Timber.

Story
Coyote is an apt moniker for this young lad: a little bit playful, a little bit shy, a little bit wild. Coyote is a great pup who is just growing up. He starts out a little unsure around humans, but once he figures out you’re there to take him out, he warms up pretty quickly. In the playroom, he will give you play bows and let you rub his soft belly. Coyote is also a good walker on leash and does not react to other dogs. He seems comfortable around them. He has bouts of playfulness and bursts of energy on walks, like any young dog should. He would make an excellent exercise buddy. He may have been running stray for a while, because Coyote arrived pretty skinny and exhibits some food possessiveness, so shelter staff are working on making him feel more secure with regular meals. This guy is ready to be your constant companion – come meet him soon.

Story
Meet Alyssa: A Resilient, Loving Tripaw Looking for Her Forever Home Alyssa is the kind of dog who makes an instant impression—not because she’s a tripod, but because she’s overflowing with love. This sweet girl adores people more than anything. If you’re looking for a companion who will greet you with endless tail wags, lean into you for affection, and brighten every day with her joyful spirit, Alyssa is your girl. She lost her leg in a shelter dog fight as a tiny pup, but don’t tell her that—she doesn’t let it slow her down one bit! She gets around just fine, whether she’s trotting next to you on a walk or curling up beside you for a cozy nap. Alyssa is almost fully potty trained and is learning quickly. She can be a little reactive toward strange dogs, but with proper introductions, she can live happily with another dog. She knows sit, down, and leash manners! She comes with all her gear, including her crate, so she’ll have familiar comforts as she transitions into her new home
