Story
Meet Chanel! This husky mix girl came with a friend who has already found a home. She has been in foster for the last few months and is desperately looking for a soft place to land. She is around 3, 55ish lbs, and loves to play! She is great with other dogs and loves children. She also loves water! Chanel has even learned to ride on the boat.Chanel is still a puppy at heart but wants to learn. She is gentle and kind, but is still learning to perfect basic manners. She can be inside or outside as long as she has a fenced area. Chanel does well with other dogs and can`t wait to find a family to call her own! She originally came in as a stray, was already spayed, and in good condition. We know someone loved her once, and she just needs to find a forever family! A generous donor sponsored Chanel`s adoption fee, so there is no adoption fee to take her home.

Story
This is Blair she is a Siberian husky mix, she is 2 years old and is free to a good home, I am not home enough to give her the time she deserves as well as both me and my fiance are allergic to her. Blair is very friendly and quiet for a husky, she's smaller so I think she is mixed with Corgi ( not sure). Blair great with other dogs as long as they are friendly not tested with cats or small children. Please message with any questions!.

Story
🐶 🐕 SKITTLES Female 2 1/2 years, 52 lbs & AVAILABLE Husky / BC mix – check out more photos and see the rest of our dogs on our website -- https://norcalbcrescue.org/available-dogs/our-dogs/ 🐕 🐶 SKITTLES was a great mom to her 10, yes 10, awesome Sweets and Treats puppies, and now she is ready for her forever home. Once her babies were adopted SKIT really began to shine. She has come a long way from the pancaking, pregnant, and shy gal to the protective, correcting mom, to a friendly, outgoing gal we foster parents love. She gets along well with people and other dogs. She’s been fine around the cats, but with her husky bloodlines we’d still caution against a home with cats. SKITTLES is about 2 1/2years of age, 52 lbs., with a thick medium coat. SKITTLES is crate and house trained. She has not pottied in the house since her “mom” days. She is now very comfortable in her crate (home and travel) during down and overnight sleep time. She knows “crate” and willingly goes in on her own as she knows it’s either meal or treat time. She knows sit, does ok with down, and has excellent recall even when distracted by people or dogs at the park next door. We are working on “off” as she likes jumping up (gently) on people, and does her share of licking the counters clean (we ensure no food is left for her to get) but responds well to direction. SKITTLES, after proper introductions, does well with people and other dogs. Once she trusts, she trusts completely. Treats and patience are the way to SKITTLES’s heart. She sits politely for pets, but she is not overbearing. When you stop she’ll find a dog bed or a spot on the floor and patiently wait for the next round...and the next…and the next. SKITTLES is happy inside or outside, wherever she has companionship. Sun, rain, snow…nothing deters her. She is happiest when her people accompany her outside (she’ll chase a ball or play keep away with a stick) and is almost as happy playing with her foster siblings. She especially enjoys Perkins, who plays to her energy level. She’d prefer a “Perkins-like” four legged companion to help her burn off energy, but would be fine as an only dog if you include yourself in all her activities, and she in yours. The more SKITTLES is included in your activities the quicker the bonding will occur. SKITTLES is micro-chipped, spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (https://norcalbcrescue.org/adoption/adoption-application/) and wish to inquire about SKITTLES, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. SKITTLES is fostering north of Corning in Tehama County, CA.

Story
Kira is an amazing dog. I found her when she was 6 wks. My husband was disabled and stayed home with her everyday. He was a recluse, he stayed in his room and lived in a state of anxiety and depression. She was used to living and running on three acres. After his death, I tried my best to keep the property and keep our life together, but then I had to sell my home and move back to Cali because I couldn’t survive out there on my own. I am now houseless, in a pop up trailer and she is tied to a tree most of the day so she won’t run off. She is super anxious and has separation issues. She was barking constantly, but I have been able to get her to bark less. She feels like the world is out to get her. She has never been aggressive to anyone or any animal besides her sister that has already been rehomed. She needs someone that can be her person again. She is getting use to being around people again. She needs more than I can give her now. Please contact me if you’d like to meet her.

Story
If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application, tailsofrescue.org  This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you.   Hudson is a 10-month-old Shepherd-Husky mix with a heart as big as his 75-pound frame. This sweet, playful boy thrives with other dogs his size and would do best in a home with another medium to large dog to help him settle in. While he’s okay with smaller dogs, his energetic play style might be a bit much for them. Hudson is still learning the ropes when it comes to leash walking and house manners, but he’s eager to please and making great progress. He’s a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’ll be your loyal companion. He hasn’t had much experience with cats, though he is curious about them and will chase at the fence line. Hudson will need a few weeks to adjust to his new home, but with patience and love, he’ll make an incredible addition to your family. Ready to give Hudson the forever home he deserves? Reach out to us today to meet this handsome boy! Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $350.00  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2203636##

Story
Riley is a 7 year old husky-mix we adopted as a puppy. She has been a mostly indoor pet who can keep up with a busy family but is also happy to cuddle on the couch all day. We recently introduced our first baby to the family and she has not taken to him well. She has developed more stress since our little one has become mobile, leading to a bite 2 months ago. This is very hard for us as we miss who she once was while also knowing we cannot create a good environment for her again. She loves adults and older children. She does not do well with large or energetic dogs. Sadly she has also developed reactivity around our senior dog and would do best in an only dog home unless supervised. She is crate trained, very smart, does wonderfully in the car and on walks. She does require Rx dog food for bladder stones, no issues for years since she’s been on this diet. We so desperately want to find a home that can let her enjoy the rest of her years. Will include her food, crate, and toys.
