Billie was rescued from a home where she was not being taken care of by one of our amazing community members. Unfortunately, she hasn’t befriended the resident cat so we agreed to post her and help find her a permanent place to land! Billie weighs 40 pounds and is absolutely gorgeous. For those who love the Husky breed, you won’t find a better companion than Billie! Come on down and meet this gorgeous girl today!      Billie is an affectionate and loyal gal who’s looking for her human best friend! She is super smart and adores her people, so prepare to have a lifelong shadow once you bring her home. Her favorite thing is rolling over onto her belly and lifting her leg like “hello, it’s time to shower me with all the attention I require, human!” Billie, like many huskies, is super smart and wants to show off for her people. Prepare for an adventure in training as you get to know each other. She loves her toys and would be thrilled to find an overflowing toy bin in her forever home. Billie loves to go on walks and adventures but is also happy to lounge on the couch when you’re ready for some relaxation time. Her foster mom has found that a great way to keep her stimulated is with interactive toys, which she excels at! Billie has a big personality, and she’s always such a happy and smiley girl. Billie is expressive in showing you how thankful she is, and you can easily feel it from her. With your support, she can thrive and become a wonderful companion. Her foster’s favorite thing about Billie is the way she’s always ready for a cozy snuggle. She has a sixth sense for when her people need some affection and she’s ready!  Billie wakes up around 6:30 AM on weekdays and goes right outside for potty. She comes inside for breakfast and then settles into her crate for a nap. While her foster mom is at work, she spends her days sleeping or amusing herself with her toys. She is good at hanging out quietly in her crate and isn't a nonstop energizer bunny. She gets her dinner around 6:30 PM when her foster mom returns home from the workday and then heads out on a long walk around the neighborhood. In the evening, she settles down and lounges for a few hours until she heads to bed with her foster mom.  Billie lives with another shepsky mix currently and they get along fabulously. She loves making new pals on her walks as well! She walks very well on a leash and loves getting out in nature. She is house trained. Billie would thrive in an environment where she can be shown lots of love and structure. She responds well to having commands and being trained. She loves to cuddle, so someone who could give her that would be ideal. She’s truly such a beautiful and great dog who has the potential to do very well in a small or big family. She has a lot of love to give and is waiting for her forever home.     Billie is an option for homes with prior dog owning experience. Kids should be over the age of 9.November 12, 2024, 6:23 pm

Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Three years old, neutered, and was a rescue; it takes some time for him to earn your trust; he is strong and sometimes pulls on leashes when walking. He has typical stubborn husky behavior; no cats or small animals, and no kids under 14, please, due to his mouthy and nipping behavior, and his bite is strong; sometimes you will bleed if you force him, so do not! Always ask for his permission before patting him, especially when he is lying down, which is the most vulnerable position for an outdoor animal like him during his earlier life when he was left outside 24/7 in the yard with a lack of socialization and human interaction. He can stay by himself for around 4 to 6 hours, but remember that Husky is a pack animal, which is not recommended for more than 2 hours. When leaving him alone, you need to lock him outside or create a safe zone for him inside the house; just like most huskies, they will start to be destructive and chew when bored. Generally, after three years old, they will begin to calm down. He was never crate trained, rides decent in the car, but makes lots of exciting noise! Trial adoption is recommended; feel free to see if he fits your family, I need to find him a good home, so I do not mind taking him back if things do not go well with the adoption.

Story
She’s a whole person. She loves beef and will go bananas for salmon and cheese. She looooves the outdoors. Tongue and tail wagging all day long in the sun. She prefers to lounge outside in the yard, suns herself most of the day and then comes in to cool off. She a stickler for routine. Loves morning walks and as many walks as you’ll give her. She’s super curious and loves to chase and play. Not good with off leashing. She loves to play with other dogs but will tap out and step off on her own for some alone time. She loves playing with her owners once she’s bonded and gets to know them and enjoys one on one attention. Loves to come for some rubs and then step away, she likes to do things on her terms. Very husky type of husky! She loves to play hide and seek with you as well and to chase and be chased around. All around the most lovable doggie!

Story
Hazel was born circa June 2020, near Portland, Oregon. She was adopted by me in early August of 2020, when she was about 8 weeks old. Both of Hazels parents were husky and german shepherd mixes. Extremely intelligent, knows dozens of tricks/commands using both voice and hand signals. Good at walking on leash, can walk by your side with no leash as well. Very good with kids and everyone. Highly energetic and social. Happy go lucky. Loyal and loving. I have a 10 month old (my first child), we recently discovered he is highly allergic to dogs and cats, since he was born he's had many health issues which we finally were able to determine was due to this allergy. Hazel deserves a home where she can have the best quality of life and as much interaction with people and kids and other dogs as possible.

Story
All of our foster dogs are kept in individual homes.  Go to our website Bayareasiberian.org to get the foster home contact if you do not see it in the bio. Duke was found about 7 months ago. I didn't want them to go to a shelter so i have been taking care of them until they find a new home. I have been taking care of him since and got him fixed and microchipped. He is a friendly dog and loves walks, running around the yard, retrieving a ball. He is pals with Daisy who will also be listed on this website. They both love eating peanut butter and chewing on rawhides. They love going to the dog park and running around off leash (as long as they are in an enclosed area. The are both very sweet dogs. They get along very well.    This is a courtesy posting- please contact the foster home directly for more information...Kevin- elephantbedding@gmail.com 510-944-9868     Go to BAYAREASIBERIAN.org for contact information on the foster dog.August 29, 2024, 12:00 am
