Story
My parents adopted Sunny from the east bay shelter after falling in love with her at first sight. 3 days after adoption my father suffered a bad fall and broke his neck. (Accident did not involve sunny) Therefore they will not be able to give Sunny the exercise and attention she needs, nor would it be a safe environment for a dog or my parents. Since the accident we have been fostering Sunny, she has proven to be easy to train (not crate trained yet) but she understands where to potty, and she is really good with small kids. She is protective over her main handler, and loves to run and play. Such a rare find, and she deserves a great home, who is ready for activity!

Story
Got a Minute for Me? Pretty Please? You know what it’s like to wait over THOUSAND days to go home? Ask me—I do. Sigh. I was found as a stray three years ago on the side of a freeway, and no one has come to find me, foster me, or adopt me. So here I am, three years later, still waiting… Henlo! I’m Brûlée, your awww-dorable and floofy cutie patootie! I’m an active, young, medium-sized Siberian Husky girl, weighing about 66 lbs. I was named Brûlée for my gorgeous coloring, extra sweet personality and super-soft coat. I’m quite the social butterfly and bond very quickly with hoomans. When we meet, all you have to do is open your arms and I’ll come running to you like your long-lost love. Expect enthusiastic and joyful “Hello” jumps, drooly kisses, happy tail wags and cozy cuddles. I’ll even lean on you and give you my best puppy eyes to score some head scritches and treats. I’m all about meeting and playing with other doggos, but I’d prefer a slow, on-leash intro first so I can take my time getting to know them. If you already have a fur-baby at home, please bring them along to see if I can make a paw-some sister. I love embarking on sniffaris and leaving and reading pee-mails for my fellow doggos. But nothing quite compares to the exhilaration of going for hikes in the great outdoors. Well, this girl’s ready for a workout whenever you are! I can get a little excited while out on walkies and will pull on the leash, so a little exercise before we head out would be super helpful. I’d love your help learning to walk politely by your side— and I paw-mise that I’ll be a good girl and do my best! I’m one very smart cookie too! I already know how to “Sit,” “Stay”, go “Down,” and “Shake” your hand. I’m also potty-trained and crate-trained. I’m a total foodie, so those tasty treats will be perfect for practicing what I know—and for learning new tricks when you think I’m ready! I take treats very gently from your hand, so that’s a big plus! When I see a squirrel, my inner Nancy Drew kicks into gear, and I’m ready to lead the search paw-ty. Well, can’t let that PhD. In squirrel spotting go to waste, can we? So, if you have little kiddos or small pets at home, I may not be a good fit for you. I’d be absolutely thrilled to join a family or person with an active lifestyle. And after a long day of action, I’m more than ready to curl up with you to Netflix-and-chill! Come meet me and give me a chance, please? I don’t want to wait another THOUSAND days! Click here to watch a video of Brulee.      February 4, 2025, 10:59 am

Story
Jubilee has been living in a foster home and she's really living up to her name!  She is about 12 months old and full of FUN!  This sweetheart of a puppy only weighs 40 lbs. and we don't think she'll get much bigger.   She loves all the dogs and people she meets - and they love her back! She especially loves, loves to play with her 8 month old and 2 yr old foster sisters, for hours! She is also respectful to older dogs.  She's a smart girl that knows basic commands, is potty trained, plus she’s eager to please.  She loves to cuddle when she's sleeping or relaxing, either with humans or other dogs. She's well behaved in public and in restaurants - but is very interested in meeting other dogs too.  She needs some leash training and we're working on that. She's still very full of young puppy energy! Jubilee is 57% Siberian Husky, 23% Australian cattle dog, 9% Alaskan malamute, 3% Samoyed and 3% Chow Chow! All this in a petite and fun sized little girl t hat wants to be your BFF! Click here to watch a video of Jubilee.      March 10, 2025, 12:00 pm

Story
Lilibet  is a sweetheart that's between 2-3 yrs. old and weighs 60 lbs. She has the softest fur and pretty blue eyes! Lili knows basic commands and is very treat motivated. She's potty trained and does well with a leash and harness. Lili loves people! She’s ok around other dogs - but not too interested in them. She will definitely do well as the only dog in your home. Lili came to NorSled with a number of health issues, including untreated skin issues and was severely underweight. Her "before" pictures are so sad but she healed so beautifully! Her issues are now completely under control but do require daily medication. Lili has been with us since September 2022. She is ready for her own human. If you’re looking for a sweet companion, Lilibet is your girl!  Click here to watch a video of Lilibet.      November 4, 2024, 8:30 pm

Chrissie is very active and fun loving for her age. When she isn’t running around the backyard, with her play buddies, she can be found and chasing the occasional squirrel around the yard.   Chrissie also loves getting belly rubs and belly scratches; she could stare at you with her big brown eyes and melts your heart every time. She is a fun, friendly pup that is well behaved and loves spending time with humans.       November 4, 2024, 8:30 pm
