Meet Pepper, the spunky 2-year-old husky who`s ready to add some zest to your life! With her stunning red and white coat, she’s a blur of energy—whether she`s zooming around the yard or embarking on a new adventure. Pepper loves her walks and enjoys sniffing her way through new areas, but she’s also got a playful side, especially when there’s a squeaker toy or ball involved. She’s learning to love fetch and can’t resist the fun of chasing things down.Pepper is an independent spirit who’s looking for a home where she can thrive at her own pace. She’s a bit cautious at first but will open up once she feels comfortable. Whether it`s quietly laying down for pets or playing in the yard, Pepper enjoys spending time with her people on her terms. She’s very smart, knows her commands, and is food motivated—cheese and hot dogs are her top picks for treats! While she can be a bit anxious in new situations, Pepper is making great progress. She’s got the kind of personality that will shine once she’s settled in a calm, loving home. Story
Nine-year-old husky Moto-Moto came to us in rough shape. He had a large tumor on his right hind leg that was causing him difficulty. Thankfully, the shelter`s veterinary staff successfully removed the tumor and felt he has a good prognosis. He was fitted with a special boot to prevent him from dragging his foot that he will probably have to wear indefinitely. Despite this adversity, Moto has been taking everything in stride. He is an excellent patient, mainly because he sees every opportunity he has with anyone he meets as a chance to get some snuggling. He is like a big, fluffy teddy bear as he makes his way from person to person, soaking in all the attention. Moto was recently staying with one of the Pasadena Humane foster families, and they rave about him. They say he seems to like other dogs and loves all the people he’s met, even kids. He can be a picky eater, but he has lots of favorite snacks, and he’s a big fan of squeaky toys. This sweet boy is just waiting for his forever snuggle-buddy. If you are looking for an affectionate, mellow dude, come meet Moto! I`m available for a 10 day adoption trial!Learn more about our adoption process.

Story
This gentle 4-year-old husky is a sweet soul with a shy side, but with a little patience, his warm personality shines through. Casper may be a bit nervous at first in new environments and meeting new people but he eventually begins to settle and even enjoys a cozy nap.On a leash, Casper is a dream—he’s easy to handle, doesn’t pull, and is easily redirected from distractions like squirrels or other dogs. During a walk in the park, another off-leash husky ran up to him, and Casper handled it like a pro. His body was relaxed, tail wagging, and he was friendly. They even shared a polite sniff before moving along calmly.Casper loves gentle attention and will come up for pets and affection once he’s comfortable. He’s curious yet cautious around new people, sometimes taking a step back before warming up. Once he’s familiar, though, he’s affectionate, friendly, and even easy to manage.Casper would thrive in a calm, understanding home that gives him the space and time to open up at his own pace. With his gentle nature and love for quiet companionship, he’ll make a loyal, loving friend for a patient family.I`m available for a 10 day adoption trial!Learn more about our adoption process.

Missy is a petite pocket husky weighing 40lbs at 7 years young! Other times she is a true husky -- independent yet well-mannered as an adult dog despite looking like a forever puppy! During the day, she settles in her crate or entertains herself with playful foster siblings. She still loves to wrestle with a buddy and gets along nicely with different types of dogs. She is a quick study! This smart girl walks nicely on a leash and is about medium energy. Salt A114808 and Peppa A114807 are a Bonded Pair of pups that need to be adopted together! This dynamic duo are both high energy and clever. Salt is a little older and plays a little rougher, while also being super smart and curious. Pepa is younger, smaller and goofier, with a stronger attraction to people. They are both stunning in totally different ways- Salt is a husky mix and Pepa is a bull terrier mix. Their differences are part of what makes them such a powerhouse pair- they balance each other out. Their similarities are- they’re both a bit stubborn and need training reinforcement. They’ll both need to learn to trust a new family and will test boundaries at first. They’ll both need some patience and regular exercise from their new family. They’ll also make sure that family gets regular exercise and laughs at their antics every day. Seems like a fair trade to us! No other animals please!

Story
Say hello to this beautiful bonded duo! A volunteer spent time with them and had this to say: `They don’t currently have names, so as always, I started calling them names I made up. The smoother coated mixed breed was “Boots” and the husky was “Sneaker”. Not intentionally shoe themed, but there it is. These 2 stunners are super sweet, in need of a spa day to get those winter sheds handled, and pretty chill when we hung out. Boots is the braver of the 2- coming up to me immediately and bring super curious and trying to hog all the pets being offered. Sneaker is way more shy, slower to warm up and content to hang back a little and just get her measure of me. Once we were hanging out for a bit they both determined I was pretty nice and knew all the good places to scritch and even had a pocket full of treats. We were limited in space, so I didn’t get to see them play or cut loose, how they behave on leash or around other dogs- maybe next time we will. I can say they were very gentle with me, even when pushing each other around. Not particularly reactive to the noise and movement going on around us. I was expecting to get pummeled by young playful dogs but they were very kind and polite. I was honored when Sneaker decided I could give pets and even a kiss on the head- since she’s so shy. We went slow and I had her smiling by the end. They’re really a lovely fluffy duo of ladies that would make for a great family completing pair.` Come to the Burbank Animal Shelter to foster or adopt Boots (A127648) and Sneaker (A127649)

Story
I got him through a friend of mine & I been Having him since he was a puppy, Obi is now 4 years old and unfortunately due to some circumstances i can’t keep him anymore even though I wish too. I took him in to avoid him being sheltered & unfortunately I am in a position where I can no longer house him. Some things I am looking for in his new home is a yard that he can roam free & someone who can be with him most of the time/day since he has separation anxiety. Although with that Obi is a very friendly loving dog who gets along with every dog wanting to play and as well as people. He’s very playful and high in energy. He will always be by your side wanting pets and hugs. He listens to basic commands like sit, stay, give me paw.

Story
📸🐾 Meet Skadi: Your New Best Friend Awaits! 🐾📸 Hello, wonderful animal lovers! Meet Skadi, a stunning 9-month-old Husky who is searching for her forever home. I rescued her from being sent to a shelter where she would have been euthanized, all through no fault of her own. Her previous owner was a young man living at home who did not get his parents' consent to have a dog, let alone a big, beautiful Husky like Skadi. She's been a joy to have around ever since. Skadi is full of energy, incredibly smart, and curious about the world. She's looking for a home where she can be the center of attention and enjoy plenty of love and playtime. 🏡❤️ Skadi gets along well with other dogs, but with four animals and four people in my small house, it's a bit too much for her to get the dedicated attention she truly deserves. She's a wonderful dog and would make a fantastic companion for the right family. If you're ready to add a beautiful and loyal companion to your family, Skadi is it!

Story
Momo is a 3-year-old, tall and dashing adventurer who`s ready to be your loyal sidekick! He’s happiest in big backyards, where he can roam freely and survey his kingdom from a deck. With a love for stairs, Momo tackles them like a pro, despite having a bit of trouble hopping into cars. But don`t worry—he`s all about the fun, whether it`s cow ears (his favorite treat), bully sticks, or a good chase after squirrels. Momo`s got personality: he’s sweet, affectionate, and happiest when he`s the only pet in the spotlight (sorry, other dogs and chickens!). A pro snuggler, he’s also your best buddy when it comes to enjoying cozy moments at home. Just watch out—he’s tall enough to leave those charming muddy pawprints on your kitchen counter, so removing the stovetop knobs might be a good idea! This happy-go-lucky guy isn’t just all fun—he’s smart and responsive, mastering commands like `sit` for a tasty mozzarella treat. Whether lounging by your side or exploring the outdoors, Momo will bring joy, loyalty, and a touch of goofy charm into your life. Ready for an adventurous, affectionate companion? Momo’s your guy!
