Story
**COURTESY REHOMING POST** Koda is not a CACC dog. We have not met him nor evaluated him and can't attest to his health or temperament. Please use the contact information listed to reach out and learn more. Meet 3 year old Koda, a big, handsome, 80-pound Husky with an even bigger heart! He and his younger brother, Lupin, are looking for a new forever home together. Though their family sadly can no longer keep them, these two boys have been very loved and cared for—and it shows. Koda is the ultimate “gentle giant.” He’s a cuddly lovebug who will happily melt into your arms, but he also has a silly side that keeps everyone smiling. One minute he’s a happy couch potato snoozing by your side, and the next he’s bouncing with energy, ready to join an active family adventure. He loves kids, is friendly with other dogs, and greets new people like they’re already his best friends. Truly, he’s the kind of dog who fits right into family life. Together, Koda and Lupin are a dynamic duo full of love and comfort for each other—and for their people. Koda is also wonderfully food-motivated, which makes him easy (and fun!) to train. He’s crate trained (during the day), fully house trained, neutered, and up to date on all his vaccinations. Play time with Koda means zoomies, chasing balls, and plenty of laughs. The only time he really “talks” is when he’s asking politely to go outside or reminding you it’s dinnertime. At the end of the day, he’s all sweetness and love, waiting to snuggle in. Koda and Lupin are a ready-made pair of joy just waiting to bring love, laughter, and adventure to their forever family. If you’re ready for double the fun and twice the cuddles, these two darling boys can’t wait to meet you! For more information please contact Charlotte at ctmstary@yahoo.com.

Story
Hi there! My name is Timber and I'm a 2 year old, 75lbs., neutered male Husky mix. I am a goofy boy who can't help but entertain you with my amazing acrobatics! I am pretty treat motivated but you have to grab my attention first. I can't wait to get started on learning how to be the best dog I can be, and work on these strange things the staff here call manners. Did you know us dogs don't have thumbs? So, we often use our mouths to try and grab your attention, I need to work on that. While I do, I should go home to a family with kids 10+. If you have a dog, I'd love to meet him or her. I've been very friendly with other dogs as long as we have the same playstyle and they don't mind my puppy energy!  Timber ID# A972308 I recently went on a field trip with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did: Timber went on a two-hour off-site, mostly a long, steady walk. We went from Lantos along Rollins Rd. to Broadway, crossing at two crosswalks to reach the Audi/Porsche dealership, then continuing to the Rollins side of the Rosalie O’Mahony pedestrian and bicycle bridge. At multiple crosswalks after the walk signal, Timber became jumpy as walking resumed, suggesting excitement when movement restarted after waiting. Timber crossed the O’Mahony bridge without hesitation, fear, or reactivity, and was comfortable approaching the fence to calmly watch heavy 101 traffic and louder vehicles passing below. On the far side, he crossed additional crosswalks to reach the Bay Trail, where keeping him on a short leash, staying physically close, and maintaining light tension reduced his jumpiness at those crossings. The walk continued along the Bay Trail and then across Airport Blvd. into Bayside Park. Timber showed good loose-leash skills overall; however, walking with a shorter leash, gentle contact, and sometimes with my leg and his back lightly touching seemed to help him settle and enjoy the walk. Back in his dorm, Timber worked on sit, down, stay, and place, then played a brief “find it” game with kibble.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hello! My name is Miso and I'm a spayed female, 1-year-old, Siberian Husky/Pit Bull Mix that currently weighs about 44lbs. I'm an active, affectionate gal that is known for being a total lovebug. I have lots of wiggly energy, which I use by running full speed and chasing toys! I'm still working on impulse control and my doggy social skills, so I'm hoping to be the only dog with an experienced family that is prepared to continue my training. If I sound like the perfect addition to your family come on in with the whole family to meet me.   Miso ID# A974599Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hello there, I'm Astrid! I'm a 2 year old, 42 lbs., spayed female Siberian Husky mix. I'm an independent, outgoing young lady, who has opinions of her own and I'm not afraid to share them! I love going on snifari's and really enjoy the great outdoors, scratches and cuddles are great too. I'm still working on my social skills. So, for the moment it might be best if I go home with a family with teens and no resident dogs while I work on feeling more comfortable in this big place we call earth. I have been told that I'm the smartest girl in the world, I mean it makes sense; I know 'sit', 'shake', 'down', and of course Fetch! Story
Hi there! I'm Luna, a 6-year-old, 82 lbs., spayed female Siberian Husky mix. My friends here at PHS say I'm a sweet, sassy lady who absolutely loves to play fetch with humans. I'm hoping for a family that understands the needs of Nordic breeds and is prepared for a high energy, vocal, running buddy! I would not do well with small animals like cats, but if you have a dog at home, I would love to meet them! For more information, just ask Customer Service about me!  Luna ID#A973446Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Apollo is a loyal and affectionate companion with an extraordinary ability to trust and form deep bonds with his people. His greatest joy is simply being with his humans, and he’s happiest when other dogs give him space. Apollo thrives on affection, especially belly rubs, and is always eager to earn treats. Whether you’re looking for a full-time chill buddy, a leg warmer, or an active partner for running or biking, Apollo is ready to join you. Like many huskies, Apollo does best with structure, stability, and clear boundaries. Once he feels secure and knows the rules, he responds beautifully to consistency and leadership, driven by his eagerness to please. While he isn’t high-energy, he enjoys hikes and loves sporting his doggie backpack, making him a calm and reliable companion for life’s adventures. In the words of Apollo’s fairy godmother: Apollo is a true “people dog” and would flourish as the center of attention in a stable home. His excellent genetics and demeanor hint at working lineage, reflected in his composure, adaptability, and intuitive nature under pressure. Apollo is a sweet, mature husky looking for a loving home where he can thrive as a cherished companion. If you’re ready to provide the structure and stability he needs, he’ll reward you with endless loyalty, affection, and unwavering devotion.
