Story
Dexter is about 9 years old, very friendly and howls when it's time to eat and go on a walk. That's when he really comes alive. Dexter was relinquished to our rescue by his prior owner. Dexter walks 2 miles/day, but is a couch potato the rest of the day. He gets along with other dogs, cats and humans. He loves his treats, and knows commands like sit, give me your paw, come, lie down. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, deflead. If you would like to meet him in La Mesa, feel free to email us.

He is great with everyone he meets including kids. Whiskey would love to be the only apple of your eye and be an only dog. He is also untested with cats but we suspect he would do best in a cat free home also.    Sadly Whiskey is losing his home and needs to find a new forever home. If you are interested in Whiskey please fill out an application HERE and we will forward it to his owner.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 3:20 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out ! Meet Zeiss! Zeiss is a peculiar fellow. He is a certified service animal and was with a military veteran with a traumatic brain injury. In the last year he has slowly stopped doing the tasks that he was expected to do. I don't blame him, 7 years is a good run. His person moved out of state into an apartment and opted not to take Zeiss with him. The peculiar part is Zeiss is not a fan of unsolicited human affection. He prefers to be left alone unless he decides he wants a head scratch. Don't linger though, he will walk away and tell you about your wrongs. He gets along with other dogs well, big and small, old and young. He exists just fine in the pack. He loves water. He will splash around in the pool or play catch me if you can with the hose. He is fully house trained and smart, will play fetch and tug of war without a problem. He would do best in an adults only home, the little ones might not understand his grumpy old man stance. If you have room in your home and heart for a good boy that you can enjoy being happy to watch him be happy, please click HERE to apply, or sending us an inquire, adopt@amazingstraysrescue.org  Adoption Fee negotiable. Story
Meet Hannah! This cute Husky was found in Valle de Guadalupe in Ensenada, Mexico. Her case caught the attention of many people and many decided to join in to support the cause. Hannah's first diagnosis was: Giardia, very advanced scabies, lesions on her back legs and face, skin lesions due to worms and spines, platelets at 0, erlichia, anaplasmosis, eye infection and a fracture in her hip. Her chances of survival were low, but she had a great desire to live. After a short time she began to get up, which surprised everyone, and she began to improve little by little to the point where we see her today, she is a girl full of energy, life, love to give, and with a lot of enthusiasm to see new things. Curious, adventurous, brave, stubborn, talkative and with all the personality of a Husky. Today she can walk with no problem and is getting stronger every day. She loves to walk, run, and knows how to coexist with other dogs of her size. She likes to be the center of attention, and usually takes your hands with her mouth without biting to play with you. She is about a year and a half old. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego.
