Story
Koko Puff is a 5 year old husky mix. We rescued her about 2 years ago. We are rehoming because we have another dog and a baby and she is not completely trustworthy around babies. She does play rough with dogs so single dog house hold is best . Koko loves cuddles and laying with her owners. She likes short walks. She is a loving loyal dog. She would do best in a home with an owner who stays home . She has beautiful blue eyes and a super soft coat. She should remain leashed when outside since she has the husky escape artist tendencies. A gated secured yard is a must.

Story
IMPORTANT: Tala has allergies on chicken and mild symptoms on seasonal allergies which causes her to itch. 16mg of apoquel Is recommend daily, although she hasn’t shown signs of itching or other symptoms so far and didn’t need to give her any pills so far. Story: Tala has been recently rehomed from original owners to us mid September. unfortunately, due to our allergies, we cannot keep her with us. About Tala: Tala is very independent, calm, gentle, and doesn’t enjoy play sessions often. Aside from going crazy over squeaky balls every so often. She does, however, enjoy a good walk. So much so that she jumps with excitement when we get the leash ready! I personally think that tala will do best with someone who enjoys a minimum of 30 minute walk/jog every day and/or with someone who already owns a dog as the previous owners stated that she enjoys playing with other dogs and meeting new ones.

Story
Posting on behave of my step-sister who lost her housing and can’t keep him. Scooter is a 2 year old Husky/Jack Russell mix and still intact. He’s house trained, crate trained, inexperienced on a leash. He grew up with kids, good with my neutered Mini Aussie, can be pushy with other intact males. I’m not sure how he is with cats, as we don’t have any. Cautious of unknown men at first, but he warmed up to my partner quite quickly. He’s been good with all females he’s met. We can’t keep him for too long, but shelters say they’re full and he’d be an automatic euthanasia.

Story
Shayba is a beautiful husky x looking for her special home. Her estimated bday is around 1/2021. She came to us at the end of 2021 and had a lump near her ankle. After testing, it is thought not to be cancerous and it hasn't grown in the year+ that we have had her. Her ankle doesn't slow this happy girl down...and Shayna is ready to find a home of her own. Here's what her fostermom has to say about this fun girl: Shayna is THE life of the party. Whether it is dogs or people she is ready to play. In her foster home she was assigned the role of teaching timid dogs how to party and has a 100 percent success rate at getting even the most shutdown dogs to enjoy life. Despite her ruff start found with mange walking the streets of Bakersfield, she looks at every person and place with love and an adventurous spirit. He coat has grown back nicely and her two different colored eyes get lots of attention. When Shayna is not playing with people or dogs she makes an excellent snuggle buddy and is happy to lay around with her crew. Or have a nice conversation, which led to her nickname “Roo Roo.” Shayna has a husky voice and will talk to you by “roo rooo roooing” which is hilarious and cute. Along with conversations she will let you know when it is breakfast or dinner time. Shayna is house trained, dog door trained, crate trained, and loves toys and play. If you would like to have a chat with Roo Roo please contact SIAR! Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$450 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
