While Willow, now 6, has been a cherished member of the family, they believe Ember could be the perfect partner for her after the heart-wrenching loss of their previous pup. However, as time has passed, it has become clear that, despite their best efforts, Ember's energetic and spirited nature simply doesn't mesh with Willow's more laid-back personality. Though the two dogs enjoy each other’s company during outdoor playdates, the dynamics of home life have proved to be challenging. The family has gone above and beyond in trying to find a harmonious balance, enrolling Ember and Willow in training and working to establish structure. However, as senior citizens, they find themselves unable to meet Ember's high energy and exercise needs.
