**Meet Gus Gus this Saturday, November 23rd from 10:00 to 1:00 at Dublin Petsmart West, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** ** Hi! I'm GUS GUS and meeting me is a must must! ** GUS GUS has been a wonderful guest at his foster home and we can't praise him enough! He is trustworthy in the house, although if you leave stuffed animals out, he will likely rearrange them in another room. LOL! GUS GUS is friendly, super sweet, easy to manage and house trained! He sleeps through the night on his bed and looks forward to daily walks and zooming around the yard. He's a Siberian Husky mix, 4 years old, and he weighs 60 lbs. Although he's a mix, his DNA shows he's 100% a good boy! GUS GUS takes treats gently, loves getting pets on his soft, red and white fur, and he loves to just be in your company! He's a very social dog who wants to be with his people. GUS GUS knows basic commands and he is good on leash and eager to meet other respectful dogs. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. *** Hi there! I'm Colt, the coolest boy in the neighborhood *** Is that a show-dog? A model? An all-star athlete? All of the above? YES! I'm an energetic, handsome black and white, Siberian Husky/Shepherd/Border Collie mix who is about 1 year old and weighs 50 lbs. When you meet me, you'll notice my contagious smile, soulful brown-amber eyes, and my soft, shiny coat. Word on the street is that I'm as cool as they come. On a typical day you'll find me conquering the agility equipment in the yard, doing figure eights in the air (it's my happy dance), and enjoying nature on my walks! When I get excited, I can't help but show it, especially when I get a break from my kennel and get to enjoy the company of a volunteer pal. I can tend to get a bit jumpy but I respond quickly to "off and will "sit nicely with a yummy treat. Not only am I treat-motivated but also LOVE getting pets and back scratches too. I walk well on leash and love to explore the world around me. And I've got both brains and good looks! I know "sit, go "down, and "drop. Not bad for a young pup, right? I'm pawsitive I can continue to learn so much more in my new furever home. Besides learning commands, I love to play fetch with stuffed animals, the squeakier the better. The cherry on top of a pawfect day is being able to run along the fence with some of my doggo friends. I think they're pretty impressed by my ball chasing and jumping skills! We adopted Misty from the Dublin animal shelter on 10/10 with her brother Cosmo. Unfortunately we did not know about Littermate Syndrome. Though these sweet pups are not displaying symptoms as of yet, it is near impossible to avoid and we are not equipped to make the extreme accommodations to prevent it. Misty has a very strong personality. She is very sweet and wants to please. We have are half way through her puppy obedience training and she is the star of her class. So far Misty can sit, focus, and leave it fairly well. She still has a lot of husky puppy energy. We are working on our greetings. She gets so excited, it is hard to contain the excitement and she does tend to jump and also has a bit of excited dribble. So far, Misty does great with all dogs she has ever met, she is wonderful with kids (we have a 7 and 10 yr old) and is an overall very well behaved sweet girl.

Gibby is very friendly with people likes car rides going on walks and runs and taking naps. He is good in the house and prefers to be inside during the day. He is house trained and exhibits no destructive behavior to belongings or furniture. He likes to be with people all day and can stay in a crate for periods of time. He is a gentle guy and very trainable. He knows 'sit' and 'leave it' and is very obedient. He loves playing with dogs his size and has learned to coexist with small dogs as well. Gibson's exercise needs are low maintenance for his breed. He will sleep at your feet while you work from home or watch you cook and do chores. He has gone out dining and out shopping- he loves to meet people. He loves hikes and long walks and enjoys using the obstacle course at the dog park. He would be a great companion and enjoys being with other dogs. He plays with other friendly big dogs at the dog park and attends doggy daycare. Gibson does use a crate but uses it crated near another dog while I am gone. Gibson would do best with a person or family who is frequently home or has another dog to keep him company as he does not do well by himself. He presents a prey drive - someone familiar with the husky breed will be a great match! No small animals cats or rural homes with livestock (cows sheep). He has learned to leave it with cats and squirrels on walks and will listen to command. Must have strong person able to handle him on leash when he does pull. Gibson does well with respectful kids of all ages. We are helping Gibby's current guardian to rehome him. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Neena (was Tootsie) was at a distant and very crowded shelter for a long time and her time was running out. When volunteers took her out she was friendly and great with all the dogs on leash and in dog play groups (off leash). Did great with transporter. She is very skinny and needs to put on weight. Once out at her foster home on 11/17/21 she was nervous but warmed up fast to her foster home but not to their female husky. She was guarding and reactive to their dog at home. Got into a few dog fights. They are keeping them separate and giving her time to adjust. 11/28/21 Update: Took about a week but Neena is now doing fine at her foster home and with their other female dog. She is the top dog at their home. They love their walks and hanging out. They do feed in seperate areas. She still need more basic and leash training. 1/12/22 Update: Still working on leash training to teach her to stop pulling and not be so excited when seeing other dogs while on walks. 3/28/22 Update: Foster hasn't attempted to test Neena with cats however they can see Neena has a strong prey drive so if the cat runs it is expected Neena would chase.
