Story
Hey there, I'm Luca! I'm a neutered, 3-year-old, Siberian Husky mix that weighs about 48lbs. I'm a confident fella that enjoys getting out an about and going on hikes and sniffari's. A favorite pastime of mine is running lots and lots of zoomies in the yard. You want nonstop energy, well here I am! When I focus, I do great 'sit', 'down' and 'shake'. I am also pretty affectionate to my favorite humans. I would like to be the center of your universe, so I prefer to be the only dog in the household. As a true stoic gentleman, I would like to meet the whole household before going home.  I hope I get to meet you soon! Just ask Customer Service about Luca! ID#A954137 I recently went out with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did: Luca has been consistently easy to gear and walk. Pulls when he wants to go faster (typical husky!) but mostly eager to sniff around and just seems happy to be outside.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hi there, my name is Ekko! I'm a neutered, 8-month-old, Husky/ Shepherd mix that currently weighs 48 lbs., but I'm still growing and could be between 85 to 105 lbs. as an adult. I'm a curious, playful boy that has tons of energy to burn and training skills to learn! I'm a rambunctious and fun loving guy that loves running around the play yard and going on adventures. Due to my eager and energetic personality, I would do best in a home with older teens or adults. I'm also hoping for a family that understands the needs of high energy pups like me and is prepared to continue my training. If you are looking for a new adventure buddy, then I'm the dog for you! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Ekko! Story
FOSTER CARE! Hi, my name is Rumble! I'm a sweet and playful 1 year and 9-month-old  husky who weighs about 60lbs. Being a young husky, I have lots of energy, but I walk well on a leash, and I love playing with my foster brother (wrestling, chase, and tug-of-war are my favorites!). I'm super affectionate and cuddly—my foster says I'm a big teddy bear who constantly wags his tail. I've been practicing crate training, and I'm able to sleep there overnight as well as settle in my crate for short periods of time. I'm also getting the hang of potty training! I'll need an adopter committed to continuing my training, helping me practice my manners, and giving me lots of exercise. If you're interested in a happy, loving husky, ask Customer Service about Rumble. ID# A956427 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile.  Application: https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdoptionProfiles_dog2023_fillin.pdf *The application may not work on mobile devices and iPads. Story
Three years old, neutered, and was a rescue; it takes some time for him to earn your trust; he is strong and sometimes pulls on leashes when walking. He has typical stubborn husky behavior; no cats or small animals, and no kids under 14, please, due to his mouthy and nipping behavior, and his bite is strong; sometimes you will bleed if you force him, so do not! Always ask for his permission before patting him, especially when he is lying down, which is the most vulnerable position for an outdoor animal like him during his earlier life when he was left outside 24/7 in the yard with a lack of socialization and human interaction. He can stay by himself for around 4 to 6 hours, but remember that Husky is a pack animal, which is not recommended for more than 2 hours. When leaving him alone, you need to lock him outside or create a safe zone for him inside the house; just like most huskies, they will start to be destructive and chew when bored. Generally, after three years old, they will begin to calm down. He was never crate trained, rides decent in the car, but makes lots of exciting noise! Trial adoption is recommended; feel free to see if he fits your family, I need to find him a good home, so I do not mind taking him back if things do not go well with the adoption.

Story
Courtesy Post This is Ivy, a beloved husky with a big personality and a love for life, looking for a new forever family. Ivy is an outdoorsy girl who adores sunbathing, lounging outside, and going on as many walks as possible. She's happiest when she has a routine and a yard to call her own. Ivy is a curious spirit—playful, loyal, and always ready for a game of hide-and-seek or a run in the yard. She's a fan of beef, salmon, and cheese, and she'll happily show her excitement with her tail wagging away. Ivy loves being around other dogs and enjoys social time but also appreciates her solo moments. She's a classic husky who likes to set her own pace and do things on her terms. Due to a recent change in her family's circumstances, Ivy has been feeling a bit lonely, and she would thrive in an active, loving home that can give her the attention she deserves. All her essentials will go with her, and her current family is committed to finding the right fit for her—a home where she'll be loved and have the space and time to be her fabulous husky self. Complete healthy medical records are available, too! Interested families with the proper setup for Ivy are encouraged to contact Nora at 310-293-0590 or email noraasi94@gmail.com.
