Story
Lobo is a white and gray husky boy with blue eyes, 4 years old. @70 lbs. Friendly and loving, likes kids and big dogs. Well behaved. Not good with small animals ( including small dogs) Needs work on housetraining. His family gave him up because of moving to a smaller apartment. He lived with an older female husky, and at our rescue he's enjoyed playing with a young male husky.  *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. Story
Rascal, also called Poseidon, is a Siberian husky, red and white, blue-eyed. Born around Dec 2020. 60 lbs. House trained, leash trained, good with kids. Rascal is a friendly, loving boy whose joy is playing - especially in water! When he is in our play yards, he is curious and playful. He was at our rescue before (after being saved from a home where he was mistreated) and was adopted. He was returned after a year and a half because of a divorce. He seems dog friendly. His owner was sad to see him go and said he was well behaved. He wanted Rascal's future owner to know that Rascal loves rice and chicken for a special Sunday treat!*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Story
Zhara was essentially my ex’s dog. When he moved back home (Feb. 2024), we agreed that he would sponsor her (20-40 dollars a month) until he was able to ship her across the country to him. He applied $20 to her care about 2 weeks after he left(Feb. 2024) and hasn’t been bothered with her or staying up-to-date on her wellbeing since. So, (April 2024) I blocked him as this was our only reason to communicate. She needs a family. Whether that be one person, or one with kids, she needs social interaction that I can’t give her. Making sure she has food, water, and human contact once a day is all i’ve been able to give her. She’s house, catch, fetch, “go eat”, trained. Trained on all her mannerisms (sit, down, no, go to the room, go get your toy). An amazing dog that isn’t alarmingly loud or hyper like Husky’s usually are. She plays good with children ages 7 and up (hasn’t had contact with younger) and is good with other dogs as long as you introduce without food around for precaution.

Story
Hi, My name is Snow! If you like to be serenaded then I am your guy! I am one of the cutest huskies you will ever meet. I am about 2 years old and weigh 45 lbs. I've been told that I am sweet, affectionate, playful, rambunctious, very good natured, extremely smart, silly and curious. I love to play with other dogs and sing to anyone that will listen. I'm not sure what cats are so I can't promise that I won't chase them since I am a husky. I recently went through board and train. My foster parents say I am VERY good motivated and I respond well to positive reinforcement. I am doing great with house training too. I would love a very secure yard so I can run around and play, you know us huskies are good escape artists! I also like to go on walks/hikes so would enjoy an active lifestyle. I am eager to please, but can be excitable and forget my manners sometimes. So, I need an owner that will continue working with me so I can be the best dog! I am a little shy around strangers, especially men, but I usually warm up after 5-10 minutes. I love to be around my human and I promise I will follow you everywhere and we will become the best of friends. If you are in love with me already, have the time to spend with me and want to make me a part of your family, please fill out our K9 adoption application on our website. mountainshumanesociety.org

Story
Sheba, also known as Chinook, is a Malamute mix. 5 years old and @90 lbs. Good with kids. He is an active boy.  He's not pushy or aggressive, but instead a tad cautious in his approach to people, but once he realizes you are a dog person, he is all in for the petting, the TLC, and some treats. He loves female dogs. He originally came to us in the summer of 2021 under the name Chinook- he and a female husky had been rescued in the desert by Brandon McMillan and featured on his Stray Recon program. He was adopted a few months later and given the name Sheba. He is sadly back with us this fall due to his adopters living situation.
