Story
Meet Bella!Bella is a timid yet sweet girl searching for her forever home! Once she warms up to you, Bella enjoys gentle scratches and pets, but she's still learning how to be a dog. She'll need a patient, calm family to help her build confidence and experience the world around her. Bella hasn't had much exposure to the outdoors, so she will rely on her people to show her that it's a safe and enjoyable place. She is still working on leash training, so her adopters will need to continue this in her new home.Bella would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can explore safely at her own pace.In her previous home, Bella has shown separation anxiety and would appreciate a household where someone is around for the majority of the day. She isn't afraid to be vocal and would do best in a home where she can voice her opinions! Due to her shyness, she would do best in a home with older children or dog-savvy children. Coming from a home with other dogs, she may thrive in a home with a calm, polite, and confident canine who can show her how to be a spoiled pup! 🌞Do you think you could be Bella's person? Here are some ways to find out:1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs. Story
Meet Hershey, an adorable Husky/Lab mix! Initially nervous when experiencing new things and meeting new people, Hershey's natural curiosity quickly takes over, and she warms up fast. This sweet girl has lots of energy and is looking for an active family to take her on outdoor adventures. She loves her favourite people and enjoys their personal space for cuddles and gives them lots of kisses.Hershey is a smart pup who thrives with mental stimulation, so ongoing training is highly recommended. Training not only keeps her mind engaged but is also a wonderful way to strengthen your bond. She would benefit from a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely play and explore. Hershey may also do well in a home with another dog, provided a proper introduction is made to ensure compatibility. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic companion eager to explore the world with you, Hershey could be the perfect addition to your family. 💙Do you think you could be Hershey's person?
