Hi there! I’m Dazy, a 5 and a half-year-old Husky Shepherd mix weighing in at 70 pounds. I’ve got a medium energy level, so I’m a perfect balance of playful and relaxed. I absolutely love kids and get along great with cats, the elderly, and just about everyone I meet. I walk well on a leash and am calm in the car—I load up with ease and enjoy the ride!I’m house trained and crate trained, and I know how to use a doggie door like a pro. I’m used to having both indoor and outdoor access, and while I love to run around outside, I much prefer to be inside at night, cozy and secure with my people.I’m highly intelligent, food motivated, and always happy to please, which makes me easy to train. Whether you want to teach me new tricks or reinforce good behavior, I’m all in and ready to learn!I’m quiet most of the time, but don’t let that fool you—I would make an excellent guard dog! I’m alert and protective when I need to be, and I’ll always keep an eye on things to make sure everyone is safe.I do guard my food, so if there are other animals in the home, I will need to be fed separately to avoid any conflicts. But with the right setup, I’m a calm and peaceful companion who loves to be part of the family.Sadly, I’m here at the shelter because my beloved owner passed away. He was an elderly gentleman, and we were the best of friends. Every morning, he would make me pancakes and waffles for breakfast—how sweet is that? I miss him dearly, but I’m ready to bring my loving, gentle nature to a new family who will give me the same love and care.I’m a sweet, loyal companion who will brighten your days with my affection, intelligence, and playful spirit.
