I am spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on my vaccines. If I sound like a good fit for you and your family...I would love to spend the rest of my life with you! Howdy partner, will you be my rescue hero and help me start a life of adventure outside the shelter? They call me Rush, a silly name, since I don’t rush out of doors to run away. But I will rush to chase a ball, get out on a hike, or jump into a pool filled with water or sit in front of you for a treat!I am a 2-year-old Husky mixed with another breed, that we aren’t sure about, but for sure I am not a super furry Siberian husky…too much hair for my liking, yuck. I am a handsome, amazing, athletic dog and the perfect match for an active person.I was picked up as a stray before coming to the Humane Society of Sedona and unfortunately, I have been at the shelter for 15 months and I am the longest resident dog…HELP me to break out! This is very tough on me. It has taken me time to trust humans again, but everyone around here tells me that I am doing great, ready to be adopted and that it’s time for a new phase of my life. It’s noisy in here, and stressful, although the staff and volunteers love on me, I am still restricted to a kennel for most of my day. This is difficult for a playful young husky like me. I’m ready to swap the kennel for a lifetime of fun, cuddles, and nonstop adventures with YOU! At 65 pounds of joy, I live for running, playing, and exploring. If you’re looking for a hiking buddy, jogging partner, or someone to motivate you to get outside more, I’m your guy! As for my personality? I am charming, curious, loyal, and make fetch look like an Olympic sport! I will start off a little shy, but once we learn to trust each other, I’ll be the most devoted companion you could ask for. And hey, I’d prefer to be your one and only dog, so if you’re looking for a solo pup to shower with love, we should meet up! I will need a home with a large outdoor space where I can run to my hearts content. It will take me some time at your house to decompress from these months of shelter life, so I ask you to give me many days to relax, rest, get familiar with your home and learn all the rules of home life. I will need someone who will take the time to help me grow and learn to trust again. A home where I am the only dog and a house with a fenced in yard would be a dream come true as I am not fond of other dogs in my space. I’d thrive in an adult-only home where I can soak up all the attention and training I need to become my best self.I’m fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, potty trained and ready to meet you. Please con

Hello Sedona,My name is Max. I am a gentle 10-year-old Akita male with a heart full of love. Despite my age, I continue to enjoy leisurely walks and cozy naps. I do experience some separation anxiety, therefore I would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the day. I would be more at ease in a calm and quiet household. I would also be content as your one and only canine companion as I continue to move into my Golden Years. I am looking for a forever home with someone who understands the special care of a senior dog and if you’re ready to open your heart as well as your home to a devoted friend...
