AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Lil Hello, I'm Lil, a sweet pup with a tale of resilience and hope. Not long ago, I was wandering the vast desert with my siblings, unsure of what tomorrow might bring. But then, a kind-hearted team from Central Arizona Animal Rescue gave me a chance at a new life. I'm a young girl, just a little over a year old, and life's been quite the adventure so far. I've never really known the warmth of a home or the joy of a leisurely walk on a leash, but I'm eager to learn! With some yummy treats and your gentle encouragement, I'm sure to pick up all the house manners quickly. My brother Phil is my rock; where he leads, I follow. He's taught me it's okay to play and explore this big, exciting world. I've been spayed, vaccinated, and even microchipped, so I'm all set for our journey together. I might be a bit shy at first, especially around new furry friends, and while I haven't met any cats or small children yet, I promise to be gentle with older kids who understand that I need a little time to come out of my shell. Are you the patient, loving family I've been dreaming of? Let's find out together! E-mail mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment to meet me. Come visit me and let's start our forever friendship.   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Meet Henry - Senior Siberian Husky Looking for a Loving Home We're sadly looking to rehome our sweet senior husky, Henry, due to an upcoming move where we won't have a yard. Henry is about 12 years old and has been with us for 9 wonderful years. He's a very chill, gentle, and quiet dog, though he does enjoy the occasional husky howl - especially in the mornings when he wants his treat. 😊 Henry is up to date on his rabies shot, recently had blood work done, and is in good health aside from some arthritis in his hind legs. We're hoping to find him a calm, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years, ideally with some outdoor space.

Story
Hi there! My name is Braven, and if you’re reading this, I think it means something wonderful might be about to happen for both of us. I’m a 1½&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old husky–yellow lab mix, which means I’ve got the best of both worlds: the brains, beauty, and bold spirit of a husky, mixed with the sweetness, loyalty, and sunshine of a lab. Not a bad combo, right? Let me tell you a little about my journey. Back in September, I was picked up as a stray. I don’t remember much about how I ended up wandering alone, but I do remember hoping someone would come for me. Nobody did. But that’s okay — because life has a funny way of turning things around. In December, I got a fresh start at Central Arizona Animal Rescue, and now I’m waiting here patiently (okay, impatiently, but I’m trying!) for the family who will finally be mine forever. I’m healthy, strong, and ready for adventure. I’m current on all my vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped, so I’m all set to walk right into your life and start making memories with you. I love people — truly, deeply, enthusiastically. If you walk into the yard, I’m the guy who lights up like the sun just came out. I’m also quite the social butterfly with other dogs. In fact, I have a girlfriend here at the rescue, and we love to run, chase, wrestle, and zoom around like the world is our playground. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who plays with his whole heart, that’s me. Now, about cats… well, no one here really knows how I’d do with them. But between you and me, I am part husky, and that means I’ve got a bit of a chase instinct. So if you’ve got a cat who prefers peace and quiet, I might not be their dream roommate. But if you’ve got dogs, or you love going on adventures, or you just want a companion who will adore you endlessly, then I think we might be a perfect match. I should also mention something important: I’m still learning my leash manners. I don’t mean to brag, but I’ve got energy — the fun kind! The “let’s go explore everything right now” kind. When I’m on a leash, I sometimes forget that we’re supposed to walk together, not in whatever direction my nose decides is interesting. But I promise I’m smart, eager, and totally capable of learning. I just need someone patient who can help me understand that the world isn’t going anywhere and I don’t have to race it. And yes, I’m a husky, which means I have opinions. Big ones. Loud ones. Funny ones. I’m not shy about telling you what I think, whether it’s “Let’s go outside!” or “I don’t think that’s the best idea, actually.” But I promise, every opinion comes from a place of love, curiosity, and wanting to be part of your world. What I want more than anything is a family who sees me — really sees me — and says, “That’s our dog.” Someone who wants a buddy for hikes, cuddles, playtime, and all the little moments in between. Someone who doesn’t mind a little silliness, a little stubbornness, and a whole lot of heart. If you think that might be you, I would love to meet you. Just send an email to mike@caaronline.org to set up a time to come say hello. I’ll be here, tail wagging, hoping today is the day my forever begins. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Hello future best friend! My name is Kung Pao (yep, just like the dish—spicy, memorable, and a little bit different!). I’m searching for my forever home, and I think you might be the perfect match! Let me tell you a little bit about my pawsome self. I was picked up as a stray in Gila County back in December, but don’t worry—I’ve bounced back and I’m ready for a new chapter. While I was at animal control, all the staff fell head-over-heels in love with me (not to brag, but I was basically the office favorite). I even went to stay with a family for a while, but I turned out to be a little too big for their tiny toddlers. Oops! If you’re hoping for a companion who’s not bouncing off the walls 24/7, I’m your guy—I’m not one of those high-octane pups who need endless exercise. I’m perfectly content with a few fun romps and some quality playtime, then I’m all about chilling out by your side. I definitely have my playful spurts, but you won’t catch me demanding a marathon every day! Now, I’m looking for a home with someone who appreciates my unique style and silly antics. I’m a very unusual mix—think husky (that’s where I get my dazzling blue eyes!), a splash of brittany spaniel (just look at my soft white-and-tan coat and fancy plume tail!), and maybe a bit of bully breed for my big blocky head and sturdy build. At about 1 ½ years old, I’m just the right age to bring adventure and fun to your life without any of that puppy nonsense. Here are some of my best features: Super sweet personality: I’m friendly, affectionate, and love to make new pals! Staff favorite: Seriously, everyone at Gila County animal control gave me five-paw reviews! Great with other dogs: I love to romp and play with canine buddies. Knows basic commands: Sit, stay, and “look adorable” are all in my repertoire. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped: I’m healthy and ready to roll—no surprises here! A few mysteries about me: No one knows where my name came from, but I can totally learn a new one if you pick something you like better! I haven’t met any cats yet, so the jury’s out on that. Maybe we’ll discover together? If you’re looking for a furry friend with a big heart, soulful eyes, and the fluffiest tail around, I just know we’ll make a great team. Want to meet me and see if we’re a match? Send an email to mike@caaronline.org and set up a playdate—we can’t wait to meet you! Wags and wiggles, Kung Pao   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt.
