Meet Zeppelin! This handsome boy was found homeless and scared. Brought into the shelter last year, Zep has been thriving in his foster home! He was on that awful E-List!! Zeppelin, true to his breed, takes some time to warm up. However, once he does choose you, he’s your best buddy! He deserves a chance at love and he’s depending on us to find him the right fit! Zep says: I was picked up as a stray so my foster mom has had to figure me out. The really nice loving volunteers at the shelter worked hard to help me too! I listen to my foster mom when she calls me, and I have shown her I have some basic manners. I really like when she rubs my belly, ears and neck - it feels great! I even saw a stray cat in my foster yard - Woof Woof! I sure would love a forever home. I look forward to it! ...pwease! My foster Mom says:•I’m Housebroken•I’m playful, goofy, sweet tempered, curious, and have an abundance of personality!•Will sit patiently for snacks, loves treats. •Loves pets and whole body massages!•He has the sweetest eyes, and this big adorable smile! •Crate trained.•Takes some time to trust people.•I am a good ball player.•Strong walker who always seems to have a destination in mind.•I like car rides and am well-behaved on the road. •I am very smart - knows sit, stay, leave it, and come.Do you have a secure big yard? Story
Mattis is a hunky guy and another pup in the running for best ears at PACC! He was found as a stray and stayed with his finder for several weeks before heading to the shelter. His finder described him as a very sweet boy who will benefit from a bit of love and training. He also did well in a crate while with his finder. Mattis also spent several weeks in a foster home- he was a quiet houseguest, did well on his walks in a busy area of town, and was well- behaved when left alone. Mattis was housebroken (always allow for an adjustment period in a new home) and loves to play with his stuffed toys. Mattis’s foster described him as sweet, loving, affectionate, silly, and goofy.“Mattis has really grown over the past three weeks and would do so well in a quiet home with lots of love. He is a good, sweet dog.”Mattis is an active, and energetic boy who loves to run and would make a great hiking or jogging buddy. Here’s what some of his many fans at the shelter have said:“How is this handsome, happy guy STILL here?? He is a volunteer favorite and a really fun, playful and friendly dog. He’d make such a great companion for an active person who loves adventures.”“Today Mattis and I spent time in the agility yard, where he really showed off! He is so friendly and social, and every time he completed a task, he would eagerly look for a treat and then seek out extra pets by sitting against my legs and looking up with a big smile to celebrate. It was really special to see his excitement and desire for praise. I always love spending time with this social and lovable cuddler.”“Going back to the kennel is not typically my favorite part a walk with a dog, but today it was the best part of my walk with Mattis. As soon as we got back, he flopped against my feet and rolled onto his back, so we spent some extra time together as I rubbed his belly. He gazed up at me with a big smile and his tongue hanging out of his mouth. I can’t wait for his forever family to finally come take him home! He is such a good boy. Very people oriented, will frequently lean against you and stand by your side at any pauses on the walk. He definitely likes to be close to his humans.”“Mattis is such a treasure. He reminds me a lot of border collies that I’ve met-he is very alert, enjoys doing tricks for treats, and is focused on his human. He is a really companionable dog who enjoys being close with his people. He is so affectionate, and I wish I c

Story
If you’re a history buff, you know that Lou Conter was the last survivor of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor. And while our Lou is named after an American naval hero, he actually needs a hero of his own! Is it you??Lou originally came to the shelter as a stray in April of 2024 along with a pal. He was adopted and spent nearly a year in a home but is back at the shelter once again and in need of a new home. In his adoptive home Lou was reportedly good with dogs of all sizes, livestock, and even cats! He reportedly enjoyed hiking with his humans and was described as an affectionate couch potato who loves toys. Lou is a people- friendly, happy dog who has been easy to handle while in the shelter. Here’s what one volunteer said:“Lou Conter hadn’t been out yet for his walk. He is a beautiful black and cream Siberian Husky Mix and has the most beautiful blue eyes! He is a sweet dog. He was easy to leash up and walked nicely out of his kennel. He was not reactive to any people or dogs that we came across on our leisurely walk. He enjoyed sniffing and investigating all the scents and he really enjoyed himself. He also likes- no LOVES- his treats! I found Lou to be a great dog!”Lou has lots of typical Husky qualities, so breed experience is always a plus! He needs a secure yard and someone who understands what an intelligent and curious dog like Lou needs to thrive. When meeting other dogs in playgroup Lou has been social and tolerant. If you can be Lou’s hero, ask to meet him today!

Story
Jack is a friendly, affectionate senior sweetie who lived the last six years in one home. Jack is extremely people oriented and reportedly did great with young children and trusted family members. Once he knows you`re his person, he’s a loyal companion! Unfortunately, Jack was kept primarily outdoors; he’s let us know that the outdoorsy life is not for him- backyards can be boring, especially for dogs who LOVE PEOPLE! So, one main requirement for Jack’s future home is that he be welcomed indoors to be by his family’s side. Jack will need an understanding and patient adopter who is willing to help him learn the ropes as an indoor dog. Here’s what Jack’s volunteer friends have said:“Jack is so handsome and such a wonderful walking companion, it’s hard to understand how he hasn’t gotten adopted yet. He is easy to leash up, well-behaved, and just a friendly easygoing guy who is always happy to get out for a walk.”“Jack is one handsome guy but he seems to be one of those dogs who gets overlooked in the kennel. I’ve always found him resting on his bed, watching folks go by without ever stopping to say hi to him. He caught my eye with his handsome appearance and low-key attitude. I decided to take this sweet boy for a jaunt through the park and immediately he captured my heart. He probably was one of the easiest walking dogs I’ve had in a long time which was very refreshing. If I had to stop for a moment, he would stop too and patiently wait. On our walk when we encountered other dogs, he would glance at them then continue on doing his own thing, which usually included sniffing. I’m not sure there is any inch in the park that he didn’t sniff. Jack is definitely a doggy that really likes human interaction. Friendly, people oriented, affectionate, and sweet. Do yourself (and Jack) a favor by meeting him!”In playgroup at the shelter, Jack was a little nervous at first but soon became social and tolerant with other dogs. He’d like to meet any potential fur siblings before heading home and needs a home without cats. Would you consider giving this very good boy a comfortable retirement home? Ask to meet Jack today!
