Story
Alina is 7yrs old. I've had her since she was a pup. She still has her zoomies and is very active. She does come off as shy and skittish at first but when she warms up to you it's all love. She sheds a lot so I hope you can manage with that. She deserves a home she can run around outside and have her space. She is very protective toward her owner and toys. She deserves a warm loving home.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . ADOPTED Please click on link to apply to adopt Wayne.https://www.ffosk9resq.org/   An application MUST be submitted before being considered for adoption. No Exceptions! Adoption fee is $275 to help cover cost of vetting, neuter, vaccines, preventative care and the cost to treat Wayne for Heart worms which cost more than the adoption fee. It also helps the rescue provide food and shelter. Wayne is about 2 yrs old and weighs about 70-75 pounds. He is a great guy! He is friendly and loving and loves to talk. He also portrays the usual aloofness at times as is common with his breed. He gets along well with other dogs of any size and age. Wayne walks on a leash well and is learning loose leash walking. He knows the command wait, down, and stay. Once the application is received and processed his foster will be in touch to go over other behaviors, likes and dislikes with the applicant.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   March 5, 2025, 5:01 pm

Story
Meet Leo! Leo has been DNA tested and we know that he is a Siberian Husky/Great Pyrenees/Mountain Cur mix. He has a beautiful soft golden coat with golden brown eyes. Leo is a very sweet boy who loves to be with his humans, but he is leery of men until he gets to know them. He does overcome this fear with the help of treats and patience. Next thing you know, he will be your best friend. At the shelter, Leo was known as the play yard rockstar because he gets along so well with other dogs. He knows several commands, such as "sit, "down, "shake, and "leave it". Leo will need a 6 foot privacy fenced backyard and a playful canine companion in his new home. Leo can't wait to meet you!

Story
Meet Aurora! Aurora is as sweet as they come! She loves affection, gives the best kisses, and is always ready to be your loyal companion. She’s a smart girl who enjoys training—she already knows sit and down and is working on sit-stay, come, leave it, and heeling. She’s getting better at leash walking, especially when there’s a treat involved! She’s active and playful but also loves to relax by your feet. She’s housebroken, crate-trained, and knows the doggy door. Aurora is wonderful with children, gentle and kind, and gets along great with other dogs. She’s also a perfect passenger in the car! If you’re looking for a loving, intelligent, and well-mannered girl, Aurora is ready to be your new best friend! Come meet her at our Cove Lifesaving Center!

Story
Meet our sweet Shepherd mix, Koda! This loving boy is searching for his forever family. He's eager to please and learns quickly, already making great strides with basic commands. He thrives on structure and consistency, so a patient owner who will continue his training with positive reinforcement is ideal. Because he is still learning, we recommend a home without other pets for now. In his foster home, he’s shown gentle behavior around their child and loves playing with their dog. With a little time, patience, and a loving hand, this wonderful dog will blossom into a loyal and devoted companion.
