Barbie truly believes that girls just wanna have fun! She loves to play with her siblings and loves to play in water. She isn't only fun-loving Barbie, though. She also has her smarts. She does well crated, walks on leash, and knows sit. She's also clever enough to climb chain link, so needs a solid fence. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~ Est DOB: Feb 2023~ Est weight: 55# ~ Adoption details: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJanuary 22, 2025, 7:07 pm

Story
Handsome Benny is ready to be the apple of your eye! This lean, leggy ladies man with the cute curly Q tail is ready to win you over with his charming nature. He is a happy and friendly goober but definitely still a young boy in need of stimulation and interaction. If we are being flat-out honest...he's something of a derp right now. He has done well with other dogs who accept his derpy young boy behavior. Benny is a bit too clever if left outside alone, so needs a tall, solid fence or to enjoy romps and adventures on leash. He also can't resist chasing cats.   ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  May 2022~  Intake weight:  49# ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlNovember 1, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
Juno is an overgrown puppy!  He has that wide-open loves everything attitude. 'Everything' includes people and treats and play - tug and fetch are his very favorites. Once he's got his energy out, he is ready to focus on learning new things. He thinks new things are pretty amazing! In case you couldn't tell, Juno is pretty excitable. Be ready to have fun burning off some energy with this fellow. You can also have great conversations with him, he loves to share his opinion. Junior is too much for  small children and is more compatible with a laid-back dog who won't feed off his energy or try to share his toys. He also needs a solid fence. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB: Oct 2021 ~  Intake weight:  60# ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJanuary 22, 2025, 8:35 pm

Story
Drifter knows one thing his people are known for - he enjoyed a life out and about. Now he's settled in the shelter, hoping for a savvy home that will love him and keep him safe.  What he doesn't know about huskies is that they are talkers and athletes - he is a chill, quiet dude. Drifter loves people enough that he will actually listen to things like sit and down, and he shows signs of being housetrained as well. He doesn't care to share his glorious self with other canines, so he needs to be the king of his empty (no other pets) kingdom.    ~  Est DOB: Aug 2022 ~  Intake weight:  56# ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlDecember 22, 2024, 7:46 pm

Story
Meet Balto available for adoption at Guntersville Animal Hospital & Surgery Center. This boy is low key and a little shy in the shelter environment, but we're hoping that in a home he would be able to open up more easily. He is a young adult around 60 lbs and very handsome with his white/tan mixed coat. Hard to tell on the breed, probably a mix of many with possibly some Great Pyrenees? lab? husky? Even though this sweet boy is a bit shy while in the shelter (very common behavior inside a shelter setting), he is calm, well mannered and gentle. We have no doubt that he will make a very loyal companion to a blessed adopter who gives Balto some extra patience and love. He is heartworm negative. Balto's adoption includes: Rabies and DAPP vaccine, heartworm test (NEG), annual wellness, fecal and dewormer, and a neuter to be scheduled at time of adoption. Give Guntersville Animal Hospital & Surgery Center a call at 256-582-3184 or stop by the clinic for a visit Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:30pm and Sat 7:30am till noon.
