Story
Russ is the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. With his expressive face, playful spirit, and “ready for fun” energy, he’s impossible not to love. Russ is smart as can be and loves showing off his skills. He already knows sit, stay, shake/paw, and lay down. He learns quickly, especially when treats are involved, and he enjoys having little “jobs” or enrichment activities throughout the day. He is a companion who loves being part of the family routine. He’s also a toy enthusiast of the highest order. Squeakers, tug toys, or fetch, Russ is here for all of it. He’s a dedicated chewer too, and happily keeps himself busy with sturdy toys like Nylabones or yak chews. After playtime, he loves gathering his blankets into a cozy little pile and settling in for a nap. Russ is halfway through his heartworm treatment and doing wonderfully. If you’re looking for a bright, loving, loyal dog who brings fun, personality, and heart into every moment, Russ might be the perfect match. He’s ready to be someone’s best friend — and he has so much love to give. The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Story
Evander is one of our stunning Golden Retriever x Husky puppies! We were contacted about this litter of underage pups and we are so happy to have been able to jump in and help. These puppies are not only gorgeous, but smart, cuddly, happy little pups with wonderful lives ahead of them. Evanders's Mama is a golden retriever and Dad a white husky, so we would expect these pups to be in the range of 50-60 pounds fully grown. They will need a secure yard, as anyone who has had a husky can tell you - Huskies like to roam. We will require a securely fenced yard for adopters of these pups. Evander will be current on vaccinations appropriate for his age, Microchipped included in his adoption donation. He will be adopted with a contract and deposit to ensure neuter by 10 months of age.

Story
Meet Nora- one of a very special bonded pair of Golden Retrievers who are here through no fault of their own! With a baby due in July, a 3-year-old at home, and a recent move into a small apartment, their family has made the incredibly difficult decision to give Tommy and Nora a second chance at the life they deserve. 💛 ✨ Tommy – 9 years old, stunning dark red coat • Loves other dogs • Big fan of car rides • Gentle, steady, and sweet ✨ Nora – 8 years old, beautiful cream coat • Takes a little longer to warm up to dogs who are in her face • Has manageable skin allergies (requires a yearly prescription) • Loyal and loving once she settles in Both dogs: ✔️ House trained ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ No bite history ✔️ Currently sleep peacefully on their dog beds ✔️ Not tested with cats ✔️ Will be brought fully up to date on vaccines and vetting as part of their adoption donation These two have spent their lives together — and we are committed to keeping them that way. They deserve a soft place to land and a family who will cherish their golden years. Nora and Tommy will be brought current on vaccinations and receive their spay/neuters, dentals and Microchips included in their adoption donations. They will be adopted to a home with a secure fence for safe outdoor playtimes.
