Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Apply for cats at www.carmah.org All cats are first come first serve; sorry, we cannot reserve cats.  I am Pepe, a funny, sweet and very lovable guy. I love to be gently petted on the bridge of my nose. I'm a snuggler and would like to sleep with you. I walk around the house like I own the place. I'd be great as an only cat. I'd be fine with other cats, but I'll mostly ignore them. I think dogs are dreadful even if they don't care about me. No dogs please! I'm 10 years old and in good health, with a lot of love left to give. My vet recommends a monthly arthritis injection; you'll want to consult with your vet for the best treatment. Looking for love? So am I!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Kittens under six months must have a cat buddy. Adoption fees are $325 for kittens under a year, $600 per pair $250 for cats 1-11 years, $175 for cats 12+ years ----------  Carmah is an all volunteer, no-kill cat rescue group serving the Marlborough/Hudson MA area and beyond. ---------- November 19, 2024, 7:23 pm

Story
I have a young, Flame Point Himalayan that I adopted from my local shelter at the end of September. She was estimated to be 2 years old, but she is probably closer to 9 or 10 months old. She is extremely active, i.e. jumping on my two other adult Persians whenever they go to eat or use their litter boxes, biting their ears, etc. I was hoping she would mellow, but she is atypical of the breed (in my experience), and continues to be relentless. I work from home and try to redirect her but, I am concerned about the stress she is causing to my older cats. This is not an easy decision for me, but I do not think this is a good match. I am looking for a home without any other cats or maybe a home with another younger cat (or maybe even a dog). Essie is a good eater, and she is litterbox compliant. Please let me know if you think you would be a potential match.
