Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Hi, I’m Oscar, a friendly young Himalayan-mix male!  I enjoy human attention and like everyone I meet.  I love to sleep on my foster mom’s bed at night.  She describes me as “a playful, floppy sort of fellow, outgoing and goofy!” I’m hoping to be adopted with my pal Sterling, but we would both be fine if we were adopted separately.  We’ve never been around dogs or children, but we get along great with other cats. I was born in approximately February 2024, have been fixed and am up to date on my shots. Please note: Oscar has chronically runny eyes as well as cherry eye, but these conditions do not seem to bother Oscar and his veterinarian has ruled out any infection. This is a Courtesy Post, and Oscar is in a private foster home in Pleasant Hill, California.  For more information, please contact Suzanne at suzannejo16@gmail.com.February 15, 2025, 7:41 pm

Story
Meet Xander, a gorgeous Himalayan rescue with striking blue eyes and a heart ready to open up to the right person. This fluffy boy was saved from an outdoor colony and has been adjusting to the comforts of indoor life. While he can be a little shy at first, his playful side shines through once he feels safe—chasing toys, batting at feathers, and curiously exploring his surroundings. Xander is FIV-positive, but that doesn’t slow him down! With proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives, and he’s eager to find a patient and experienced cat owner who will help him continue building confidence. He’s already learning that humans bring good things—treats, gentle pets, and fun playtime—and with time, he’ll blossom even more. This handsome boy is looking for a quiet, loving home where he can be the center of attention. He must remain indoors for his safety, but with a cozy spot by the window and plenty of affection, he’ll be a loyal and loving companion. Are you the special person who can give Xander the second chance he deserves?
