Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Luna is a very sweet, easy, special needs girl.  She showed up at the shelter with grossly matted fur and very infected eyes.  One eye is underdeveloped so she may have been born blind but the infection was due to her eye lashes curling into her eyes (entropion eyes) so our vet did surgery to correct that, so she won't be in pain and won't have infected eyes anymore.  She's had great house manners, figures out the layout easily and deserves someone who will keep her coat groomed and shower her with love for the rest of her life.  Is that you?   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 4:36 pm

Story
Madison here, I think I am a Havapoo, (havanese/poodle) I weigh 28 pounds and about 3 years old, female spayed. I love people, other dogs, cats are ok with they don't run then I want to chase as a game. I am considered hypoallergenic. The Havapoo requires daily walks as part of a moderate exercise routine. It is recommended that you walk your Havapoo about 9 miles over a week to keep them happy and healthy. She will also need play sessions every day with you to stay healthy and fit. They are intelligent dogs, and mental stimulation will be needed to prevent boredom. Puzzle games and training exercises will keep boredom at bay. The havapoo was bred to be a companion animal and is a very affectionate dog. They’re intelligent, loyal, and playful and enjoy spending time with you. Most are also calm and quiet. Havapoo dogs love to play, are trainable, and are good with children. They like to cuddle and are happy to be lapdogs. They are very friendly pets and will not have any issues with meeting new people. Madison is up to date on vaccines, health check, micro chipped. flea/tick treatment ready for a new home! Located in southern Idaho transport is available to approved home within the Pacific northwest. Email journeyhomerescue@outlook.com for Madison.

Story
Calix is a beautiful 4-month-old cream Havanese with a shy yet affectionate personality. While he may be a little reserved at first, once he feels comfortable, he's incredibly loving and enjoys being close to those he trusts. Calix often follows his brother Aeson's lead, making him calm and easy to handle. He loves to cuddle, relax during quiet moments, and play with his favorite squeaky toys. When it comes to food, Calix has a clear preference for chicken and beef, though salmon isn't his favorite. He's also quick to learn-he mastered the "sit command in just two days! Calix enjoys his crate time and adjusts well to the energy of the people around him, making him an adaptable companion. Though he prefers sleeping on the cool floor, especially when you're watching TV, Calix doesn't have accidents in the crate and is already showing great progress in potty training. He's also compliant when it comes to grooming, showering, and putting on his harness, making him a breeze to care for. Calix is good with other dogs, sits well in the car, and would make a wonderful addition to a home looking for a calm, affectionate, and easygoing companion. If you're searching for a pup who's quick to learn and loves to snuggle, Calix is ready to be your perfect little friend! * Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.
