Story
Ernie is the sweetest dog I’ve ever had. He was turned in to HSNBA and classified as feral and perhaps has a history of abuse and so we adopted him to make his life better. We have been unable to give him the care he needs. His hair is horribly matted because we don’t want to traumatize him by capturing him and bathing or brushing him. He is constantly in fight or flight. He flees if you get too close and poops on himself when you try to capture him. When you do capture him, he struggles and is strong and good at getting away. He hides under the bed frequently. Ernie does get along well with my dog but they mark competitively on the furniture so I think it’s best to make him the only dog. He prefers to potty outside and needs to be taken out 3 X a day. He doesn’t seem capable AT ALL of biting or being vicious and longs for human connection. He loves affection when he gets used to you every once in a rare occasion. He needs someone experienced with feral or abused animals. Very sweet.
