Pebbles is a spayed, 4 year old Havanese mix (we will confirm age when she gets her shots updated at the vet) who just came into our care. She was living in a retirement home where she was clearly overfed, over treated, over everything except exercised. Sadly, her guardian passed away and Pebbles needs a new home who will help her on her journey to health and wellness. She’s about 27 lbs and should be closer to 15 lbs. She is very sweet, loves people, gets along well with dogs and cats, is house trained and needs a home who will slowly and patiently get her to her proper weight with diet and consistent, slowly increasing walks as she is able to enjoy them. Adoption fee $275 This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. This little guy is a total goofball with a heart of gold who loves people and enjoys soaking up attention once he feels comfortable. Hermey can be a bit shy around other dogs at first, but he’s making great progress and learning that new canine friends aren’t so scary after all. He’s a smart boy who is working hard on his house, leash, and crate training—and he’s doing really well! Hermey’s story is a special one. He was rescued after being placed on the euthanasia list at the shelter, and thanks to one of our amazing fosters, he got a second chance at life. Now, he’s ready for a loving home where he can continue to play and be the sweet companion he was always meant to be. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Patty is a 2-year-old Havanese mix with a playful spirit and a growing sense of confidence. She came to us with a very matted coat, so she’s sporting a short haircut for now—but once her soft curls grow back, she’ll be looking like a little superstar! Patty is settling into her foster home and learning new things every day. Her previous home loved her, but didn’t have much time for training, so she’s still working on some basics. She’s leash trained, nearly housebroken, and absolutely loves toys—especially stealing socks, so guard your laundry! She’d do best in a home with no kids, and we’re still getting to know how she feels about other dogs. We’ll continue to update as we learn more. Patty is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and will be spayed soon. With a little time and patience, she’s going to make a wonderful companion. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.
