Age: Approximately 2 years old Weight: 12 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes (Older Considerate Kids Only) Potty trained: Working on it! Crate trained: Yes *****Secure Fenced Yard and Friendly Small companion dog Required***** Hey there!  I’m Annika and I’m around 3 years old.  I’m from a puppy mill, so living outside of a cage is all new to me.  It’s a pretty steep learning curve, but my foster mom says I learn something new every single day!  And even though all of the novel things in my new environment can make me anxious, my desire to learn and to experience fun definetely shines through.  I love being outside and I really love playing with other dogs. Going on walks is really exciting, and I have made huge progress adjusting to walking on a leash. Both a secure fenced yard and at least one other playful small dog in the home will be essential to my success as I continue to learn how to be a dog! I’m working on potty training and doing well.  My foster mom says I have a super sweet temperament, and there’s no doubt that as I continue to feel more safe, I will be a very affectionate and loyal companion.   If you have the patience to spend time and encourage me while I figure out this big new world, I’ll give you lots of love in return!     Adoption Fee:$695.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? Your experience may differ.   ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Wellness check Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate) Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo  Heartworm test if over 7 months of age Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites Microchip &#226&#128&#139 ~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care. &#226&#128&#139~ Adoption fees are non-negotiable and fees are listed on the dog's profile ~ Adoption fees can be paid the following ways with the required sales tax added: Credit Card via Zeffy Cash WANT TO HELP SAVE MORE DOGS?   Healing Hearts Rescue is a nonprofit, foster-based rescue  located in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota  that  is 100% funded through adoption fees and donations .  We are excited for you to join us on this mission to save the lives of dogs in need.   We believe every dog deserves to be loved as true members of a family and are committed to fulfilling that dream one dog at a time! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I’m Isla, a shy but sweet little bundle of love! I’m a one-year-old Havapoo (that’s a Havanese-Poodle mix), weighing just 8 pounds of curly cuteness. My foster family says I’m ridiculously adorable—and they’re right! With my prancing around the yard and curious little eyes, I’m sure to steal your heart.  At first, I can be shy and skittish, especially around new people or loud noises. I like to observe from a distance until I feel safe. Men can make me nervous, but with time and patience (and maybe some treats!), I might warm up. I even let my foster dad pet me sometimes. Sudden things, like turning lights on or off, can spook me, so I’ll need a calm and understanding family to help me feel secure.  I LOVE running around in the backyard, so a fenced yard is a must for me. I’m not quite leash-trained yet and tend to freeze when I’m on one, so for now, my backyard adventures are my favorite way to play and explore.  At home, I’m a wonderful companion for other dogs! I love snuggling with my foster siblings, and I’ll need a forever home with another dog to help me feel confident and comfortable. I also enjoy lounging on the couch and napping while my foster family watches TV—it’s my version of quality time!  I’m fully potty trained and use both potty pads and the great outdoors like a pro. While I used to be crate trained, I’ve decided I’m not a big fan of crates anymore, so I prefer having a safe space of my own instead.  With patience, kindness, and a little time, I know I can learn to trust and thrive in my forever home. If you’re looking for a pint-sized pup with a playful spirit and a love for other dogs, I might just be the perfect match for you. Let’s meet soon—I’m ready to steal your heart!   *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
