Story
Our Maxwell is a very happy dog. He loves to give kisses and loves to snuggle. He came to us from a puppy mill, after being with us for 2 years, he has overcome his shyness. He LOVES the dog park. He is a protector of those he loves in the most loving way. He gets along with everyone. He has a very special way to tell you when he is very happy. We call that his dog sign languages. It will make you smile every time. Unfortunately, I have got a medical diagnosis that doesn’t leave me with energy for Mr. Max. I feel that he will be a wonderful addition to any home needing an extra abundance of love.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I’m Isla, a sweet sensitive 1 year old 9 pound Havanese Poodle mix who is learning to navigate the world with growing confidence.  Though she can be nervous and prefers to observe from a distance, Isla is making great strides with consistent training and patience.  She thrives in a calm environment and would do best in a home with only women, as men and children startle her. I LOVE running around in the backyard, so a fenced yard is a must for me. I’m not quite leash-trained yet and tend to freeze when I’m on one, so for now, my backyard adventures are my favorite way to play and explore. Isla loves car rides and visiting the pet store to pick out a special treat. With patience, kindness, continued training and a little time, I know I can learn to trust and thrive in my forever home. If you’re looking for a pint-sized pup with a playful spirit and a love for other dogs, I might just be the perfect match for you. Let’s meet soon—I’m ready to steal your heart!   *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Meet Dorey – the 7-year-old, 14-pound ball of sweetness who’s ready to curl up with you on the couch and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation time! As a laid-back Havipoo, Dorey is the definition of chill at home. She’s a little shy around new faces (who isn’t?), but once she gets to know you, she’s all tail wags and snuggles. Her favorite pastimes include collecting her beloved lamb chop stuffies and napping like a pro. When she’s not busy being adorable, she’s working hard on her impressive potty training skills and following directions like a champ – especially when she gets that sweet praise for being a “good girl!!” Dorey is also a fan of the simple things: Yak chews, freeze-dried chicken treats, and the occasional Pupcicle (who can blame her?). She’s a quiet little lady who only barks to alert you when something’s up, but generally, she’s all about that calm, quiet life. She’s crate trained, too, and will happily hang out in her cozy den even when the door’s open – a true independent spirit! While she’s still working on getting more comfortable with car rides (they don’t always mean fun trips, after all), she’s great on leash and loves her daily walks. Plus, she’s good with kiddos and prefers hanging out with dogs her size – so she’d be a great fit for a home with smaller, mellow pups or even as your one and only! If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle soul who’s all about relaxing and loving life with you, Dorey’s your girl!
