Arf Arf, my name is Meeko; a sweet and affectionate 3.5-year-old male Havanese who is looking for his next loving home after his family faced an unexpected housing change which led him to Camp Companion. Raised in a warm, bustling household with kids and teenagers, Meeko has known nothing but love and attention. A gentle and friendly companion, Meeko has been great with children, making him an ideal family pet. He's calm and well-mannered, getting along well with other dogs, especially those who aren't too high-energy. Having been raised in an apartment, he's used to a cozy environment and was initially puppy pad trained, though he has been making excellent progress transitioning to outdoor potty habits. While Meeko has met cats, he showed no interest. He whines for a minute at the beginning of being in the crate, then is totally silent all night until you get him. He loves sleeping in the bed too if you let him. He doesn't require a lot of energy and is okay sitting around with his people. Though his family is heartbroken to part with him, they know he will bring joy, love, and companionship to another family lucky enough to welcome him into their home. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and well-rounded companion, Meeko might just be the perfect fit for you. Meeko will be neutered on Wednesday Dec. 4 and can go home 2 days later. Apply at campcompanion.org. Adoption fee is $300 plus tax.
