Im looking to rehome my 30lb, 5-year-old Havanese/Shih Tzu mix to a loving and experienced owner. She’s sweet and affectionate but leash reactive, so she needs someone who understands or is willing to work with that. She has never bitten anyone, just gets overstimulated and vocal at times. We have worked with a trainer and implemented some of their advice which has been very helpful! She would do best in a calm home (preferably with a backyard, I think this would be helpful for her!) with someone patient, attentive and can help to burn some of the energy that she has! She loves to play fetch with tennis balls, sleep/cuddle next to you and eat all the treats! If possible, I would prefer to do a slow transition with the rehome but this is something we would throughly discuss.

Havanese Male White 11 months old 8 lbs Introducing SATCHI - a pup full of personality and love! He’s still working on putting on a little weight, but he’s already packed with energy and charm. This little guy is doing great with housetraining as long as he gets regular potty breaks, and he walks well on a leash—though he prefers to handle his business in the yard. Satchi loves being near his person, whether snuggling on the couch or curling up in bed. He’s also a playful pup who enjoys a good game of chase with other small dogs—he’s surprisingly fast! Toys are another one of his favorites, and he’ll happily entertain himself or join in on a game with you. And don’t let his size fool you—Satchi has a big bark and would make a great little guard dog and loyal companion. If you’re looking for a small but spirited pup to fill your home with love, fun, and snuggles, Satchi is your guy! Meet Alfredo, the most perfect little companion you could ask for! This 10-pound Havanese is the definition of sweet and lovable. Alfredo loves nothing more than curling up next to his human for a cozy nap, often nestled in close for some extra warmth. His walks are a highlight of his day, as he’s always eager to say hi to every dog and person he meets with a wagging tail and a big smile. He’s incredibly friendly and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him the ideal playmate for any furry friend. Alfredo is a laid-back guy who loves being held and is incredibly easygoing. You can pick him up however you like, and he’s even happy to be cradled like a baby on his back for some extra snuggles. He’s a calm, low-energy dog whose content with a good snooze on the couch next to his favorite lamb chop toy, though if you’re up for a longer walk, he’ll happily join you! His tail is always wagging, and his happiness is truly contagious. One thing to note – Alfredo loves his toys but prefers the tougher ones, as he has a habit of ripping apart the softer ones with his playful teeth. Somebody get me out of this old age home! That’s what Boomer is saying about his stay here at Four-Legged Forgotten Oldies. Boomer is a very healthy, playful, and active 10-year-old Havanese/Terrier mix. While the other dogs who live here are happy to nap the day away, Boomer loves to run and go for long walks. He really needs to find a great new home who can give him the time and exercise he would like. Boomer came to us after he was surrendered by his owner to the shelter. His owner said he didn’t like children, so adults-only homes please. During Boomer’s behavior test at the shelter, he showed signs of resource guarding for food and toys. We have seen some evidence of that when he is around the other dogs. We are hoping to find the ideal home for Boomer. We learned that his previous owner was physically and verbally abusive to him. As a result, Boomer can be fearful at times. If he thinks he’s going to be scolded, he retreats to the sofa or a corner. He needs a new home that will be patient and loving with him, as well as knowledgeable on how to deal with his behaviors. Boomer is smart. He knows how to sit, stay, and come, and also gives kisses on command. He really wants to be a loving, trusting dog. He has come a long way since he arrived here last month. Are you the new person he is looking for to give him his happy, forever after? FLFO requires a home visit therefore adopters must be within 40 miles of Baldwin MD.
