My name is Darla, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am a little timid and nervous because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. When I arrived at the veterinarian's office, I really like all of the positive attention that I was receiving. I should come out of my shell pretty quickly once I am in a loving home. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
Cash is a resilient and lovable pup looking for his forever home. He was found abandoned on a rural backroad along with three other dogs, but despite his past, Cash remains the friendliest of the bunch. This adorable little guy is eager to find a family who will provide him with the love and care he deserves.Though potty trained to pee pads, Cash is open to learning to do his business outside with a little guidance. He gets along well with dogs his size or smaller and loves engaging in playful activities with them. Cash may be wary of larger dogs, often barking and chasing them, but his sweet and affectionate nature shines through when he's around suitable playmates. After a few days to adjust post-adoption and with a sense of safety and familiarity, Cash transforms into the perfect lap dog, craving cuddles and companionship. His playful spirit and love for toys add a delightful charm to his personality, making him an ideal companion for someone looking for a loyal and loving furry friend. Are you ready to open your heart and home to Cash? Give this little cutie the second chance he deserves, and watch as he blossoms into a devoted and cherished member of your family. Story
Hi everyone My name is Handsome and my foster mom insisted that I have this name because she thinks I am  so handsome.  I am a 2-year-old Lhasa Apso/Poodle mix that weighs 23 lb and a very good boy I am told.  I have some very funny expressions and an easygoing personality that makes my foster mom brag on me. I am crate trained and I walk really well on a leash and I meet new people with very good manners and happy tail wags. I'm great with other dogs and I've been cat tested and I could be friends with all of them. I am 95% house broken but occasionally I find the urge to market certain area because my foster mom has lots of other foster dogs. It's a guy thing sometimes. I am really excited about finding my forever home where I can have my own bed and someone's full attention. I can live with another dog or two, no problem at all but right now I'm living with a lot of other dogs and so I'm hoping to get my own special people who think I am the best dog ever, because I am. If you are interested in knowing more about me and applying to make me your own please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 10, 2024, 9:41 pm

Story
My name is Biscuit and I'm a southern boy that somehow got lost from my family and they never came looking for me. I was kind of in bad shape when I showed up on an older couple's front porch and curled up underneath the chair just looking for some shelter and protection from the weather. They gave me a little bit of food and water and then they started making calls trying to see if I belonged to anybody. But no one ever came forward and no one knew who I was. I was a little ragamuffin at the time but Critter Cavalry rescue really came through for me and they got me groomed and a bath and then they got me neutered in all my shots done and a microchip and a fecal and deworming is going on right now. I'm a healthy 2-year-old, 21 lb boy that everybody loves when they meet me. My foster mom said I'm housebroken which amazes her. I'm very good in the house and I'm very easy to have around so if I could talk I could probably tell him who I belong to. But I can't talk and I guess my parents don't really care where I am. But, Critter Cavalry cares where my next home is and they're out scouring the countryside looking for my next blessing of a loving family.  I'm a young boy and I have 15 years ahead of me easily. I will be the easiest dog you have ever owned. Contact Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com If you were interested in adopting me. I am housebroken and I know all the special dog manners that anyone would want in a future dog.
