Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Maddie is a cute little Havanese in search of her forever family. She was so terrified when she first arrived to rescue but is starting to figure out that life outside of a breeding kennel/facility can be pretty amazing.  She mingles so well with the other dogs in her foster home and would likely not know what to do without them. She is working hard on her house and crate training.   ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Resident dog to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. December 4, 2025, 11:47 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cami is a fun a spunky little Havanese in search of her forever family. She was absolutely petrified when she arrived to rescue but has made huge progress while in foster care. Cami will need a very patient family willing to give her the time she needs to warm up and acclimate.  Cami's Havanese personality is beginning to shine through - she likes to do things her way :) Cami is working hard on her house and crate training and doing very well. Our veterinarian noted that Cami has a low-grade heart murmur, so she saw Dr. George at AERC for an echocardiogram, and we are pleased to say she received a perfect report. Cami's heart murmur was a normal finding and caused by blood flowing through one of her valves at the higher end of normal. Nothing to be concerned about and no evidence of heart disease and no heart defects.   ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Resident dog to help show Cami the ropes and boost her confidence.
