RESCUE STORY – My early life was very challenging. I was rescued by Doremi Rescue in Yeoncheon County, South Korea, from a dangerous site where dogs were at risk. After my first rescue, I was cared for at a veterinary clinic. However, I was later taken from the clinic under false pretenses and ended up living in a severe hoarding situation. I shared a confined space with many dogs where food was scarce and fights often occurred. Some dogs were seriously injured, and sadly, a few didn’t survive. Despite the chaos, I stayed calm and resilient, and I was eventually rescued again when Doremi returned to remove several dogs from the property. Through it all, I’ve remained gentle and trusting, and now I’m ready to find a safe, loving home where I can flourish.
TEMPERAMENT – I’m calm, gentle, and emotionally steady. I get along well with other dogs, though I prefer observing quietly or resting rather than joining active play. With people, I’m sweet and affectionate once I have the chance to get to know you (I am a slow burn kinda gal)! I enjoy being petted, held, and handled. I don’t always approach first, but if someone waits patiently, I often come closer on my own. I can be slightly cautious around men, but I adjust gradually and confidently in new environments.
I rarely bark and have a naturally low energy level, making me a peaceful and comforting companion. I’m comfortable with elevators and car rides, but I haven’t used stairs yet. Having lived in a shelter environment for the majority of my life, I am not used to typical indoor sounds, (like doors closing, TV's, vacuums etc.) so it might take me a little time to get used to all the new noises. But with patience and love, I’ll adjust and feel right at home. I love calm pets from humans and dream of the day I get to have a family of my own who loves me.
ENERGY LEVEL - Low – I enjoy calm environments and gentle interactions rather than high-energy play.
GETS ALONG WITH:
Dogs – Yes, I get along well with other dogs but I would prefer to be the only dog in the home.
Kids – Unknown; would need gentle introductions.
Cats – Unknown; not tested.
PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviors, should they arise.
TRAINING:
Leash skills – work in progress but I am pretty dang good so far!! I walk slowly and calmly (video, video). I'd love an adopter who can help me work on my confidence on leash and someone who is OK with nice slow walks for a while :)
House trained – in progress; I may need some gentle guidance when I get to my new home. Frequent bathroom breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn quickly, I'm sure!
Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.
HEALTH NOTES:
I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.
I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada.
I will have dental cleaning, if necessary, before flying to Canada.
NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.
ADOPTION FEE:
My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD ($750.00 + GST & PST) including applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.
WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
