Story
Meet Bootzie! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Bootzie is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or locations along their route. Bootzie is a handsome boy with truly stunning markings that make him stand out wherever he goes. Once a feral kitty, Bootzie has been making incredible progress and is learning to rust more every day. He now allows gentle handling-he can be picked up and enjoys soft pets from someone he knows. Bootzie is an independent little entertainer who's perfectly happy making his own fun. One of his favorite games? Knocking pecans off the table one by one until they hit the floor-then chasing and batting them around like his own personal toys. It's as adorable as it sounds. Because of his background, Bootzie will need a patient and understanding home willing to continue helping him build confidence and feel safe. He may be shy at first, but with time and consistency, his sweet side really shines through. If you're looking for a unique, playful companion and have the patience to help him fully blossom, Bootzie just might be your guy. Bootzie is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home! He's never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think he could learn to love a new dog friend. Bootzie would do best in a quieter home without young children, where his boundaries can be respected and his progress can continue at his own pace. Bootzie's foster sibling is Ace (FIV+) (M) --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! Story
Lulu was brought into our family as a potential companion for our original cat. She has since become the mother of two litters — including OB, SJ, Inkspot, and Rorschach. She is now a calm, demure adult cat. Lulu is gentle and submissive with the other cats in our busy household. She is very affectionate with our children and was a wonderfully attentive mother to her kittens. Her own mother (Muffin) also lives with us, so they have always been together. We’re looking for a loving forever home where Lulu can relax and be herself — ideally in a calmer environment with fewer cats competing for space. She would thrive as an only cat, with one compatible companion, or in a quiet multi-cat home where she doesn’t feel overwhelmed. A family who appreciates her sweet, gentle nature and gives her plenty of affection would be perfect.

Story
Diva is one of our two foundling brothers. They were abandoned by their mother in our backyard as tiny infants and hand-raised from a very young age. They are now roughly 1½–2 years old and are very strongly pair-bonded. Diva is the more affectionate and outgoing of the two. He loves climbing onto laps — he used to walk across a laptop keyboard until picked up — then snuggle in and gently rest his paw on your cheek. He’s sweet, social, and enjoys close bonding time, though he has become a bit more standoffish lately as household dynamics have shifted. He still meows plaintively when he wants attention. We’re looking for a loving forever home for Diva. Because he and his brother Pebble are so closely bonded, they would do very well adopted together. He would thrive as part of a pair in a calm, low-stress household or as an only cat with lots of affection. A family who wants a sweet, lap-loving boy would be the perfect match.

Story
Pebble is one of our two foundling brothers. They were abandoned by their mother in our backyard as tiny infants and hand-raised from a very young age. They are now roughly 1½–2 years old and are very strongly pair-bonded. Pebble has a calm, cool demeanor and is a bit shyer than his brother. He’s especially vocal at mealtime and loves head-butting for ear scratches. He tolerates being held and is generally easygoing but has become a little skittish lately as household dynamics have changed. We’re looking for a calm, low-stress forever home for Pebble. Because he and his brother Diva are so closely bonded, they would do very well adopted together. He would thrive as part of a pair or as an only cat in a quiet home. A patient family who respects his gentler personality and offers affection on his terms would be ideal.
