Story
Mai is five years old, and she's a fairly independent, curious, and energetic indoor cat. I adopted her from a rescue in January 2021 and love her dearly. However, I am currently living in a very small studio apartment, and she has been displaying progressively more anxious and territorial behavior since I moved last year. Multiple different methods of addressing this behavior haven't helped, and on top of that my work schedule has been getting busier to the point where I feel I can't give her enough attention. If possible, I'd like to rehome her to an experienced cat owner who lives in a larger space and can give her a solid routine. She is an "only cat" - she's not good with other cats, dogs, or children. She takes a while to warm up to humans and tends to show affection mostly through coexisting with you, but occasionally she'll get cuddly!

PLEASE NOTE: We do not adopt our fosters to anyone further than a 1-hour drive from Albany, NY. Unless otherwise stated below, our fosters are spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on vaccinations before they are posted for adoption. Interested in adopting? Visit www.animalovers.org/adopt to download and email an application! *** RICKY'S ADOPTION FEE IS SPONSORED FOR APPROVED ADOPTERS *** Ricky is a friendly and affectionate 1.5 year old tuxedo boy dressed to impress! He purrs when you pet him and likes to have his chin and belly rubbed. He likes to spend his days sleeping on your bed. He doesn't care to be picked up, it messes up his handsome tuxedo suit and he can't have that! We initially thought he does not like other cats, however he has begun being okay with the other cats in his foster home. He can be your only cat, but may consider being okay with another very easy going cat in the home.

Visit www.animalovers.org/adopt to download and email an application! Milley and her brother, Dale, were strays in Burnt Hills. She was fed by a kind lady on her back porch for over a year. During that time, Milley had two litters of kittens. In the first litter, only one kitten survived and is currently living with the kind lady. When Milley had her second litter of five kittens, an AnimaLovers volunteer stepped in to take Milley and her babies into her home to foster them. Milley was an excellent, attentive mother to her babies, who have now all been adopted into loving homes. Milley also wants a forever home to call her own. She is a shy, independent girl who will come out to see her humans when she feels the time is right. She needs a quite home. Older children would be fine but younger children would make her too nervous. She is okay with her feline brother, Dale, but has not been exposed to dogs. Her new family needs to be patient with her; she will take a while to adjust to new surroundings. She is about 1.5 years old.
