Story
Marvin is the type of cat that just melts you. Found living on the city streets almost 2 years ago, he walked right up to trappers to be petted - he was asking for help! He was in rough shape, but after his neuter and dental, he is like a new man. He is 8 years old, almost 9, with plenty of life to live and love to give. He is so happy to be inside! Marvin loves to be petted and will purr and even make biscuits. In his first longterm foster home, he would follow his foster mom around like a puppy and loved to sit by her side on the couch. He would get bursts of energy and loved to run down the stairs ahead of her. He is a character and just cracks us up. He got along well with all the other cats, kittens and the dog in his foster home. He just arrived in his new foster home and is doing great. He is outgoing, sweet, affectionate, and even playful at times. He is definitely a lap cat, but doesn’t mind giving someone else a turn too. He gets along well with the other foster cat (Miss Molly) in this new foster home. Marvin has had teeth extracted. Sometimes his tongue adorably hangs out of his mouth between his teeth. He eats dry food just fine and loves wet food. He’s a big boy! Marvin is FIV + which just means he needs to be kept indoors with proper nutrition just like any other cat. No special care is needed. FIV is not casually transmitted, thus he can live with other cats as he has been doing in his foster homes. Marvin is currently undergoing allergy treatments and doing great. FURR has paid for all his initial allergy testing with a dermatologist and he began his injections in April 2024 and they are working. These shots are done at home once per month. Maintenance will be approximately $50 per month. Marvin’s adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous supporter and he will also come with 6 months of allergy medication. He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormer/flea treated, and microchipped. We want the best home for this special guy, someone who will continue to give him the care he needs and deserves.
