Story
ABOUT HAZEL Meet Hazel, our funny little gremlin! This kooky lady came to us after her owners were unable to manage her medical issues. Hazel had a bit of a rough start here, she was NOT pleased being confined, but she settled in quickly and let her personality shine! Hazel is a true character! She is the Queen Bee and the biggest diva of them all! She likes what she likes, and she'll let you know what displeases her. She loves to play and loves to snuggle, she's a true lap cat! She allows you to dress her up, though she will only allow that in small doses. She enjoys going for walks in her stroller, as well. Hazel has been in a foster home before, here's what her foster has to say about her: "She is still as sweet as can be!! I sleep in her room 1-2 nights a week so that she can enjoy nighttime cuddles. She has seen my cats and the majority of the time she doesn't mind them. A few times she has hissed at them/back at them. Over the holiday, she was able to meet my nieces and nephew and did really well! She just loves attention!! Her newest thing is asking for belly rubs!" **Hazel has skin allergies, which are currently managed by a special diet and medication. If not managed, this allergy causes her to break out into a super itchy rash. She MUST stay on her special diet and medication unless otherwise directed by your vet. *Hazel has recently decided that she would be comfortable sharing a home with other kitties, though she does need a slow introduction and a home with calmer cats! We aren't sure how she'd do with a dog, but we assume she would bully them. Once in a home, she does super well with children and new people, though she can be a little grumpy during transitions. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! ABOUT SMOKEY AND BANDIT! Meet Smokey and Bandit, our two-year-old sisters! These girls came to HAP from a hoarding case, so this has been a big change for them. They have started to settle in, though! Smokey is the more outgoing of the two, though she can be shy at first. She enjoys playing, so she can usually be won over by some playtime! Bandit tends to be more of the observer, she likes to hang back on the sidelines while her sister takes the lead. After some time, they are both super sweet girls who love to hang out with their people friends! *Smokey and Bandit both do well with other cats, but we recommend they go to a home with no dogs and no children. **If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Story
ABOUT APPLE AND JAX! Meet Apple and Jax, our brother/sister duo! These cuties came to HAP from a hoarding case, so they had tough time adjusting to shelter life. Because of this, we decided to send them to one of our awesome fosters, so they could decompress and learn to be a cat again. Now they're back in the shelter and ready to find their forever home! Apple is the more out going of the two, she's a real socialite! She loves other cats, and has done wonders getting the shy kitties out of their shells! She does have a bit of sass, and loves to greet her people friends with a quick hiss, before she allows them to give her some love! Jax is a quiet boy, who mostly follows his sister's lead! He likes to watch what's happening before deciding on joining in. He's a real lovebug once he warms up to people! *Apple is on prescription urinary food, as she has had issues with crystals forming before. We also give Jax the same, just because they tend to share each other's dinner! **Apple and Jax both get along well with other cats, but we don't recommend they go home to dogs or young children, as they can be timid. *** If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire!
