Story
Frankie has a resilience and zeal for life that will capture your heart. She is so much more than her origin story but to understand where she is today, we have to acknowledge how far she has come. Frankie was shot with a pellet gun and some of the pellet fragments were lodged into her spine. Despite great efforts and surgery, Frankie remains semi-paralyzed in her back legs. This does not slow Frankie down in the least! Wind up a toy and watch Frankie go go go! She zips around with the zoomies like any cat, and chases toys and shadows like a pro. Frankie likes to join her foster Mom on the couch or climb up into her cat tree. Frankie adores being a big/little foster sister to animals of all kinds and would do well in an active home. Nothing stops this adventurer! Except maybe bedtime with her person, she loves to share the bed or couch.    Caring for Frankie requires some experience with cats, or at least the willingness to learn! She will need to continue her low-level physical therapy routine which consists of relaxing and adorable leg massages. Frankie can't totally control when she goes to the bathroom due to her paralysis. To help with this, her bladder is expressed three times a day. Her future adopter will need to commit to properly caring for Frankie's needs while understanding they may change in the future. Frankie eats out of a slow feeder to help keep her weight at a healthy level, that we would also be happy to provide.  Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. This cat is currently in a foster home. To meet the cat, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Story
Ginger was rescued along with her littermates from the Guadalupe River. She loves to be pet and is very playful. She takes her time learning to trust new people and places. Ginger might do best with a mellow male cat as a friend or as an only cat. She is vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. Ginger would do best with someone that is cat savvy and can be patient and understanding while she adjusts to a new home and person. Once she's comfortable, Ginger will be an affectionate friend.  Ginger is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, email us at courtesy@thedancingcat.org. Story
Bindi is a sweet girl with a beautiful gray marble tabby and white coat. She was rescued with her sisters from under a freeway overpass. Bindi is shy around new people at first, so she would do best with someone who is experienced with cat body language and behavior. Once she's comfortable and settled in she's a real love bug. She likes to play with toys and be pet, but prefers not to be picked up. She is laid back and would do well in a quiet home with no children, and someone who will give her a lot of love. She would also do best as an only cat. Bindi loves the catio her foster mom built! This allows her to enjoy the outdoors safely, while inside a large, enclosed area. s to be pet and play with toys. She's not outgoing with strangers. Once she's comfortable, she's mellow and likes to lay around a lot. She is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. This cat is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, email us at courtesy@thedancingcat.org.  November 6, 2024, 10:11 am
