Story
Storm was born March 13, 2024 - the 4th of five "X-MEOW" kittens - She presents as a quiet, contemplating kitty. But don't let her cool presentation fool you! She is alternately warm, gentle, and sweet... which makes her appropriately named after the captivating, weather-making character of Storm from the X-men. What Storm Loves: When Storm wants something, like a favorite food or your attention, she meows to get it! And her meow is quite different, more soothing and song-like, than her siblings! She loves to play, and when she does, watch out! Because she is very, very active! She's also very conscientious of her surroundings and her siblings. A beautiful Torby, Storm is the largest of the 4 X-MEOW females... now surpassing her mother, Turkey. So it makes sense that Storm is almost always the last to be eating wet food at dinner time. And she doesn't gobble it up rapidly; she's taking her time to savor the food. She loves not just the menu, but the dining experience! Storm was the first of the bunch to purr in response to being pet, and she enjoys it to this day! She appreciates human contact. If you kneel down on the floor, she crawls underneath your ankles - that's her current way of snuggling. But because she's a smarty, it's certain she'll learn more conventional human cuddling methods. She's good with being held, but often one of her siblings distracts her with a play opportunity - her likely preferred choice. All of the X-meows enjoy watching the "Cats 24/7" and "Pet Collective" channels on the free PlutoTV streaming app. And for sleepy time, they really love & appreciate the YouTube "Cats Only" channel, especially the Harp Music + Purring video... though any music + purring video there will do! Like all of her siblings, she absolutely adores the "laser globe," a little globe that can both manually and automatically run a circular laser pattern from a table onto the floor in front of it in 15-minute sequences. The bigger the field, the more fun the chase is! What Storm has: All of the X-meow kitties have a nightly satisfying serving of canned pate' cat food, as well as anytime access to premium dry food that's replenished twice daily. They also have a constant running water fountain to drink from. They live separately from our main house cats, in a 300SF pool house that's air conditioned and adorned with cushion beds, play trees, tunnels, a hammock, and of course several toys. They've shared two jumbo-size stainless steel litter boxes that are cleaned twice a day. The room is automatically cleaned daily by a robot vac that the kitties all find amusing, as well as cleaned weekly by a human with a regular vacuum! In addition to their scheduled vaccinations, the X-meow kitties receive a topical flea treatment the first day of each month, as well as have their environment safely maintained to prevent flea growth. All have been spayed / neutered. As for play and attention, their CatDads spend hours a day with them! They are all fun and loving, each in their own unique way, and we shower them with as much love as possible! What Storm needs: Storm would love to have someone who gives her affection at times when she's relaxed and feeling up for it, as well as play with her when she's feeling frisky. Storm is the 2nd quietest of the group outside of her brother, Charles. But make no mistake, she's communicating to you with her eyes - so you need to take the initiative to tune in and listen. She also needs the kind of cat parent who sees him as a special relationship, not just a pet / owner. She will also give first in line to someone who adopts him along with one of his fellow "X-Meows!" Her best bond is with her brother Charles Xavier - they even lay in ying-yang positions when calming after an adventurous play. But most of them have unique bonds with each other, so they will each feel safe and happy more easily, and more likely successfully adapt in your home & heart if they can do so being together. And to make that journey a little easier, Storm and her adopted X-meow companion come with accessories! Including a new stainless steel litter box & scoop, a new second cat carrier, and more!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Raven was born March 13, 2024 - the FIRST of five "X-MEOW" kittens - a beautiful dark Torti born 3rd out of 5 siblings to her mom, Turkey. Raven is named after the X-Men character, the shape-shifting Mystique, whose real name is Raven Darkholme! What Raven loves: Raven is the first to say hello! She puts herself forward to greet you and get your attention. She takes initiative! And from there, she marches to her own drumbeat. She's off to play with siblings & her mom, explore new spaces, watch the scenery out the window. She is an agile, athletic play kitty who can jump over or slide under her siblings. And she is FAST when she wants to be. Raven exudes confidence. Like all of her siblings, she absolutely adores the "laser globe," a little globe that can both manually and automatically run a circular laser pattern from a table onto the floor in front of it in 15-minute sequences. The bigger the field, the more fun it is! Raven loves to be pet and enjoys being held. She's slim, statuesque, and a little delicate for human hands - so just make sure you handle her gently when picking her up. Like all of her siblings, she absolutely adores the "laser globe," a little globe that can both manually and automatically run a circular laser pattern from a table onto the floor in front of it in 15-minute sequences. The bigger the field, the more fun the chase is! All have been spayed / neutered. As for play and attention, their CatDads spend hours a day with them! They are all fun and loving, each in their own unique way, and we shower them with as much love as possible! What Raven needs: Raven is bonded to her mother Turkey and they must be adopted together. Because of Raven's independent side, it can be too easy for her to get lost in the crowd - and she does not want that! She wants your attention and appreciates it. So it's important to take the same level of initiative she gives, and seek her out to spend time with her and give her affection. She also needs the kind of cat parent who sees her as a special relationship, not just a pet / owner. She will also give first place in line to someone who adopts her along with one of her fellow "X-Meows!" Her best bond is with mom, Turkey. While all the siblings love mom Turkey, Raven is the most in-tune with and attentive toward her. All of them have unique bonds with each other, so they will each feel safe and happy more easily, and more likely successfully adapt in your home & heart if they can do so being together. And to make that journey a little easier, Raven and her adopted X-MEOW companion come with accessories! Including a new stainless steel litter box & scoop, a new second cat carrier (since you'll be needing two!), and more!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Charles Xavier (of the "X-Meows!") was born March 13, 2024. He was the last born of his 5 siblings, but emerged the leader - as he grew larger and faster. In other words, he is big for his age - and he's not done yet! Charles is named after the leader of The X-Men, who's a giften psychic. Since he's the biggest and so communicative despite being the most quiet, his name turned out to be aptly applied! What Charles Loves: He's like the average teenager: He loves to play and show his athleticism, but he can also be really chill. When he relaxes, he REALLY relaxes! He's also more soft spoken, preferring to communicate with you using his eyes. If you call that telepathy, then you know how he lives up to his name! He's also just a teeny bit bashful when it comes to affection. He initially pretends he's not concerned with it. But then you'll find him coming up to you, rubbing you, and even trying to be picked up. He just doesn't want you to brag about it because, you know, gotta keep up that tough image! Like all of his siblings, he absolutely adores the "laser globe," a little globe that can both manually and automatically run a circular laser pattern from a table onto the floor in front of it in 15-minute sequences. The bigger the field, the more fun the chase is! All have been spayed / neutered. As for play and attention, their CatDads spend hours a day with them! They are all fun and loving, each in their own unique way, and we shower them with as much love as possible! What Charles Needs: Sometimes Charles can get overactive. When he gets the zoomies, he really gets them! So he needs stimulating engagement - play! - as well as loving affection. He also needs an owner who isn't going to be intimidated by a large feline - because if there's one thing we can bet on, it's that Charles is nowhere near finished growing. Charles Xavier needs the kind of cat parent who views this as a special relationship, not just a pet / owner. He'd also be first in line to someone who adopts him along with one of his fellow "X-Meows!" Since he really does have a special bond with each one, they will each feel safe and happy more easily, and more likely successfully adapt in your home & heart if they can do so being together. Story
I'm uncertain as to their breed... They are brothers. Have had them since birth. Both sweethearts. White kitty is lazy but nice, but doesn't like being picked up. Darker kitty likes to be picked up and coddled, but he chews on wires and fabric, so you need to get hairball control food. Both cats are friendly with other pets. Messiah is very timid, but Buddha is very bold. Darker kitty is Buddha. Whiter kitty is Messiah. Preferably, I'd like them to go to a family. They are both neutered. May have fleas, but I can try to clean them up before giving them to their new owners. Buddha primarily likes to be outside, while Messiah is very lazy and may be okay with remaining indoors.

Story
Meet Havana! Havana is an all brown cat who is incredibly stunning! Not only is her color so cute and rare, but her personality is the best! She truly is such a perfect cat. Havana is very social and active and enjoys spending her time hanging in the cat trees and playing with toys in the room. She was originally surrendered to us with two other cats named Bridget and Blacky. Although they came together, they are very independent and would be happy going to separate homes. Havana is great when meeting new people and is super outgoing. If you are interested in adopting Havana, please go to www.rockinrescue.org, fill out an application and email it over along with some pictures of your home to rescue@agwc501.org. After application has been reviewed, we will be in touch to set up a meet and greet. For any questions, feel free to schedule a free phone consultation with one of our adoption coordinators: https://calendly.com/rockinrescue/call The application process also includes a Home Check in person. *** WE ONLY DO LOCAL ADOPTIONS IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA.

Story
Sunshine is pretty special ed. 😁 He was a previously TNR'd colony cat from La Puente. He disappeared for two years and then showed up again near a colony close by. He had been thrown in the trash. He was hardly moving and he was completely jaundiced from gosh knows what. He was so weak that he needed an esophageal feeding tube to deliver nutrients to him while he gained strength. Cats are abused and treated like garbage around those parts and it is no wonder how he is able to trust people at all. This guy was different. Even in his dying stages he wanted to be petted on his head So weak, but able to lift his head for headbutts. He deserved a chance. He was resilient and although his recovery was long it was completely worth it. He's an indoor boy. Enjoys his toys like a kitten (probably because it is the first time in his life that he can play with toys). He has slowly been gaining trust and would love an opportunity to have an owner. While he is not a cat that will cuddle with you in bed, he has gotten the courage to sit with you on the couch to get petted. He's very silly, pretends he's feral sometimes, and probably a little retarded. He can't help the circumstances he was forced to live. We want better for him. He is a unique young man who would love to be someone's companion. Sunshine is being adopted through the San Gabriel Valley Animal Advocates.
