Story
Animal Profile: Chai is a sweet beagle mix that was found as a baby in Del Rio, TX. We love her unique, hairless muzzle because it's a sign of all she went through. Chai was very sick with puppy strangles, but she survived and is now thriving in her foster home. She can be a little unsure about new things, but with a little help from her furry friends and foster parents, she is learning that the world is a wonderful place! Chai would do best in a home outside the city as she will be overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle. She would love her own fenced yard, and needs at least one other dog in her forever home. Foster Update: Chai is a little love bug! She quickly made friends with the resident dogs in her foster home, and will follow wherever they go. She plays with her paws like a little cat, and snuggles up like one too. Chai can be a little unsure about new places, but she has been learning that things are not so bad here in Washington. She has had a chance to explore lush green gardens, sandy beaches, and seems to enjoy a good car ride.   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from  Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Paws Up Rescue on 09/16/2024 to the Seattle area. Let me introduce myself, I'm Bentley. I'm here searching for a new family where I'll have a home, for always. You see, I had a wonderful loving home until my person passed away. The 'other' family didn't want me and just dropped me off at the shelter. I just lost my person and now have lost my home too! But I'm still a loving sweet boy that would love to have another person(s) to bestow all my love! I am so ready for Christmas, is Santa coming to grant my wish? I am a total sweetheart that will have your heart wrapped right around my little paw in no time flat! I love people both tall and small and do fantastic with other pups and even the resident kitty too!! I am house broken and crate trained, letting us get right to the fun stuff right away!! I like going for our walks around the property but I'm more of a meanderer then a cruiser. I'm at that stage in my life where I like to stop and smell the flowers instead of bulldozing right over them! And there's not much that beats a good splash in the river on those walks. Coming in at around 50lbs I could stand to lose a few pounds so those walks will sure help with that. I would make a great companion type pup for someone retired or that works from home. I would even make a great first time dog parent pup. Are you looking for that calm mellow fella that will be happy just to be in the same room? Are you looking for that someone to share in your daily life's going on's from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting? Let me introduce myself, my name is Alani, and I'm here hoping for a family, a home...one to call my very own! I am one of the most sweetest lil gals you'll have the pleasure to meet. I do great with people but absolutely adore the smaller versions!! I'm around 5years old. That fabulous age where I'm way out of the puppy destructive stage but still wanting to get out there and enjoy adventures with my people! Walks around the neighborhood, nature trails, car rides, camping trips...you name it, I'm ready to enjoy it...with you!! I am house trained already so that lets us get right to the fun stuff! I also am very well mannered and know some basic commands. I walk well on the leash and love to stop and smell the roses instead of bulldozing right over them and have a great recall! I do great with people, adore the kiddos, play well with the other pups here in my foster home and I even don't mind those creatures y'all call a cat! I'm a little shortstack coming in at 47lbs as I have those short lil stubby bassett legs. I may be short is stature but I've got a heart bigger than the state of TX and have no problems wiggling my way into yours!! I would be a pawesomely perfect pawtner to add to your family, even for that first time pet parent as I'm such an easy keeper! I've got the sweetness galore, manners and a love for....everything!!
