Story
Fudd is a handsome 3-year old male Beagle mix who was brought to the HSOV on January 23, 2025 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden who picked him up on State Route 676 in the Vincent Ohio area. Fudd was accompanied by a younger Beagle mix named Elmer. Neither of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. Perhaps Elmer and Fudd were on an adventure looking for "that wabbit" (Bugs Bunny)? Fudd has a white short smooth coat, a long tail, a tan spot on the top of his head, and an adorable face with expressive brown eyes, a liver-colored nose, a slender muzzle, and extra-large tan-and-white floppy ears which frame his beautiful face. Fudd appears to have a cherry eye condition in his right eye. From the looks of his super-sized ears, Fudd may have possible Basset Hound ancestors in his family tree. Fudd seems to have a gentle, easygoing personality. Fudd weighs 24.5 lbs. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Fudd will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. We apologize for the photos in his floor crate and will hopefully have an opportunity to take more flattering pictures soon.

Story
**Reclaimed 2/3/2025** Ruby is a beautiful 2-1/2 year old female Beagle who was brought to the HSOV late on the evening of February 2, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found her on Goose Run Road in the Marietta Ohio area. Ruby was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. This little sweetheart has a tricolor short smooth coat, a long tail with the traditional white tip on the end, and a classic Beagle face with dark brown eyes, a dusting of white on her slender muzzle, and large brown velvet ears which frame her face. Ruby appears to have the affectionate easygoing disposition for which the Beagle breed is known. These photos were taken late in the afternoon of February 3rd by our Beagle-loving photographer who naturally fell in love with Ruby's lovable personality. Ruby posed like a 'pro' and intermittently came quietly to the front of her floor crate for some petting and soft baby-talk. Ruby weighs 25 lbs. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Ruby will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership. If we have an opportunity to take some out-of-cage pictures of this little beauty, we would love to take more flattering photos of Ruby.

Story
Fudd is a handsome 3-year old male Lemon Beagle mix who was brought to the HSOV on January 23, 2025 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden who picked him up on State Route 676 in the Vincent Ohio area. This sweet boy has a gentle, easygoing personality. Fudd weighs 24.5 lbs and could easily gain a few pounds to fill out his slim, trim physique. We had taken preliminary photos of Fudd in his floor crate (which were cute but did not capture just how handsome he really is). We were happy to have an opportunity to take more flattering photos of Fudd on January 30th when HSOV Kennel Tech Lauryn Hamilton accompanied him outdoors for updated 'glamour photos'. Fudd was quite the gentleman and turned on his Beagle/Basset charm, and we fell in love with him 'big time'. Fudd's companion (Elmer) also had more flattering photos taken that day thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Rachel Elizabeth who teamed up with Lauryn so that both of the boys could remain together for an outdoor adventure. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Fudd was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Since Fudd was not reclaimed, he went home with a foster family on February 5, 2025 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.
