Story
CORI Attributes Dog friendly Playful Housetrained Good in cars High energy Requires a fence Adult-only home preferred Cori is a sweet girl who will be 8 years old in May. She is adorable with her slight underbite and snaggle tooth. It is obvious that Cori had a charmed life and was very spoiled by her previous doggy-mom. Unfortunately, Cori's Mom passed away and now she is looking for a forever home where she can be spoiled again. Cori is great in cars and fully house trained. She is a high-energy dog and loves playing with other dogs. She would love regular play time with other dogs, especially in a doggy day care situation. Cori can be anxious and would do best in a quiet home with a fenced yard and without young children. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
Attributes -Adult-only home preferred -crate trained -good on car rides -housetrained -low energy/chill/couch potato -shy -single dog home -snuggly -will potty on leash Paul Bagel is a very sweet boy looking for his furever home. He is a beagle/basset hound mix. His foster family describes him as very quiet and sweet, a true gentle soul. He has been working on potty training and has been doing well; however, he doesn’t seem to let his foster family know, so therefore he needs to continue working on a routine to reinforce going outside to go potty. He knows basic commands such as sit and stay. He is very food motivated–cheese and training treats are his favorites! Paul is crate-trained but loves lounging and relaxing on the couch with comfy blankets and toys. Paul would do best in a home, being the only dog, as he thrives on attention and love. He currently lives with a 2-year- old golden retriever; however, due to his ongoing needs of gaining confidence, feeling less fearful, and dealing with separation anxiety, the foster family recommends that he be the only animal in the household at this time. In the future, once he can adjust on his own and is comfortable, the possibility of getting him a companion or friend could be revisited. He had a rough start to his early life and was found as a stray. He was very fearful and skittish when he first came to his foster home. With the help of a behaviorist who was assigned through Midwest BREW and constant positive reinforcement, praise, and time, he has developed trust with his foster family. He is less fearful, although still very cautious and hesitant around new environments, people, and animals. But once he has time to get to know you, he is very sweet and kind. He will need continued training for the fearful behavior and for his separation anxiety. He is worth every single bit of time that you give him, he is truly a sweet boy. He is looking for a family that is either a retired couple or a couple with no children under 10 years old that has the time, patience, and love that he needs so desperately. He will, in turn, give you many years of love. If you want to be Paul’s new family, please contact your Midwest BREW counselor. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
Attributes Dog friendly Adult-only home preferred Crate trained Good in cars Requires a fence Working on housetraining Hi there, I am Cosmic Brownie. Yes, sigh. My foster parents call me Brownie. They say I am a sweet, little (23 pounds and low riding) boy. I do need to work on my trust skills with people. I will come trotting up, or follow behind you, with my tail wagging, but if you go to pet me, I tuck my tail and get a look of worry in my eyes. But we are working on that. I am also not a big snuggler. Foster mom likes to do snuggling practice with me to help. But I sit in her lap for 5 minutes, and then get down. I am pretty quiet for the most part, until I see those pesky squirrels, and I let them have it. I have a couple of toys I will chase around. I can still get my groove on, see my video. I would love people food, and try to counter surf, but I am too short to get my nose up there. But I will settle for a treat ball and whatever treat goodies you have. I walk pretty decently for a beagle, but I need to stop and smell, of course. I also ride well in the car; I just lie on the back seat. I am crated while everyone is at work, and no problems. At night, I sleep in a doggy bed or on a doggy pillow, and I sleep through the night. Foster dad loves that. I do need a fenced yard as I like to run around, and when I need to have a bowel movement, I am all over the yard until I go. Older kids only, as I have not been around small kids, and a quieter home would probably be best for me. My foster parents think I might have been an outside dog. I seem much happier and less timid when outside versus in. I have learned to love the dog pillow and bed, though!!! I am pretty much house-trained. I will go to the door, or if you see me get antsy, take me out. You do have to keep an eye on me as I still have moments where I want to go before getting outside. A home where someone is around at least part-time, might be best, so I don’t have to hold it all day long. If you think I’m the right boy for you, please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
