Story
Siren is a calm, gentle, quiet girl who joined us from rural Kentucky. It appeared she had had very little human interaction when joining BAARK last year, but with time and patience, she has come out of her shell and has become a little more confident….but does have a ways to go. Siren is definitely a Mix Breed, possibly a Beagle-Heeler, with other breeds sprinkled in! She’s an estimated 32 lbs. born in January of 2021. This sweet girl enjoys the company of other dogs in her foster home, but prefers calm dogs. She can become startled by loud noises and quick movement but as her confident continues to grow, such things will likely not bother her. Siren is most likely to thrive in a quieter household consisting of adults. But older children, respectful of animals, would be good for Siren as well. She’d really enjoy the companionship of a calm, possibly older dog too. A secure fenced yard is also a plus. Siren is up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped. She is believed to be housebroken as well. Story
Meet Tabby a sweet, gentle Beagle/Hound who joined us a couple of months ago, along with two of her sisters, all confiscated from a hoarding situation. She is just over a year old (est DOB 12-05-2023) and weighs about 35 lbs. In her foster home, Tabby is working on her social skills and, learning to become a dog! She enjoys playing with other dogs, and is learning that walking on a leash can be fun. She loves going for rides in the car, sitting in the back seat like a little lady, enjoying the many new sights and sounds passing her by. Tabby is fine with older children and with cats. She especially enjoys being with another dog. And even more so, she absolutely loves being with her humans. She is crate trained but prefers to hang out in her dog bed with a blanket to relax during the day, and likes to cozy up with her humans at night. Tabby is looking to become part of a family that is patient, compassionate, and loving and living her best life in an environment that is calm and not overly hectic. Beagle/hound experience is a big plus. Tabby is finding her voice; as such she would not be appropriate for an apartment or condo. Tabby is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped. HI, My name is Violet, I am a 1 year old purebred Beagle! My birthday is Feb. 20th 2024. My mommy is sad that she can't keep me, but she isn't in a safe environment herself, and she is thinking of me and my safety, so she is trying to find me a nice new home! I would love a backyard to run around in, maybe with another doggy friend or two. I am shy at first, and timid, but will open up right away. I love to give kisses, and I love to run around. I don't like getting my nails trimmed, or a bath. My mommy has been working with me on my nipping stage, I usually end up doing that when I'm very playful, and I don't know my own strength at times. I chew, a lot, and she doesn't have a new harness for me. I get along with cats, but if they run away I will chase after them, thinking they're playing. Don't leave your shoes or clothing laying around, cuz you'll end up chasing me to get them back! I will come with my blankets, and toys and my food! Please welcome me to your home
